CONSTITUTION: The reproduction of a video disk 3 and an audio disk 16 is enabled. A mode detector 8 which detects modes of ≥3 kind of signals recorded on the disks 3 and 16, a disk detector 5 which ditects the kinds of the disks and, a mode selection switch 2 with which modes of two kind of bilingual signals of the disk 3 and of signals of the disk 16 are selected are provided. Further, a discriminator 6 which generates discrimination outputs by modes and by disks according to the outputs of the detectors 8 and 5, and the selection switch 2 and reproducing circuits 9W12, 19, 20, etc., which reproduce signals corresponding to its output are provided.
