摘要：光学データ記憶ディスク用カートリッジは、モノリシックのシェルおよびシートメタルカバープレートを含む。シェルは、光学データ記憶ディスクを保持するキャビティをともに規定する横方向の壁および床を含む。カバープレートがシェルの横方向の壁の上面に当接した状態で、カバープレートがシェルに取付けられる。光学ディスクは、ディスクのデータ側がカバープレートに面した状態でディスクキャビティに収納される。シートメタルシャッタはカートリッジの端縁に巻き付けられ、光学ディスクの一部がカバープレートのシャッタ窓から露出される開放位置と、シャッタがシャッタ窓の上に横たわる閉鎖位置との間で摺動可能である。カートリッジは非常に丈夫で作製が容易である。光学ディスクのデータ側のすぐそばでシートメタルを用いることにより、非常に短波長のレーザでディスク上のデータを読出したり、または記録することが可能となる。

SOLUTION: The disk case 300 loaded into the recording and reproducing apparatus consists of an integrally molded plastic. An elastic deformation part 36 is detachably provided in the disk case 300 for holding the disk 32 contained in the case 300. This elastic deformation part 36 has a cantilever structure, and is deformed in the thickness direction of the contained disk 32. Therefore, a system in which the securement of the reliability of the recording and reproduction is properly balanced with a low cost characteristic is obtained in accordance with an application while incorporating the latest technology of the recording and reproduction.
