    • PURPOSE: To hold a recording medium in a device securely, by locking the external circumferential groove guard of a recording medium with an upper clamping arm after the guard enters between clamping arms.
      CONSTITUTION: A lower clamping arm 31 is fixed at a prescribed position and an upper clamping arm 30 is provided with a projection 30d atop and supported rotatably. For case insertion, while the projection 30d operates on the internal circumferential side of the external circumferectial groove guard 2b, the upper clamping arm 31 is locked. Therefore, intrusion between the upper and lower clamping arms of the external groove guard for a disk and clamping operation never result in impediment to the case insertion and the disk is loaded smoothly and securely with light operating force.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the misinsertion of a rotary recording medium storage case by engaging a left and a right position of a jacket opening mechanism to the center of case inserting direction, and locking the opening mechanism to keep it unmovable when the said support is at the descending position in interlocking with a rotating recording medium elevating and descending mechanism.
      CONSTITUTION: Before the insertion of a disc case 2, a lock plate 55 is at the lock position and lock claws 55a, 55b are positioned at the back side of projections 53, 54 respectively. In inserting the case 2 into the device, an opener (jacket opening mechanism) 21 tends to move in the direction X
      1 by being pressed by the case 2, but the projections 53, 54 are locked by the lock claws 55a, 55b and the movement is limited and the insertion of the case 2 is stopped. Since the opener 21 locks the left and right sides of a lower side beam 41 being the opener main body, the opener 21 is locked strongly. Thus, a hand of the operator feels that the case 2 collides with a rigid member. Thus, the operator can discriminate that the insertion of the case 2 in this case is misoperation.
