    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the tolerance of a positional deviation between a cartridge gear and a drive gear while securing the necessary movement stroke of the lock pad of a reel lock mechanism.
      SOLUTION: An annular cartridge gear 1a around a center of rotation CL1 which is to be mounted by the drive 30 and attached to the reel of a tape cartridge 1 has a tapered shape with a first tilt angle where the tips of teeth become lower at the inner peripheral side. An annular drive gear 22 around a center of rotation CL2 connected to the reel motor 24 of a drive 30 has a tapered shape with a second tilt angle where the tips of teeth become lower at the outer peripheral side. The second tilt angle is smaller than the first tilt angle. The tapered shape of the drive gear 22 is formed at the innermost position and a position outside the innermost position in the diameter direction of the drive gear 22 where the lock pad 1d of a reel lock mechanism contacts in a proper engagement state between the drive gear 22 and the cartridge gear 1a.

A cassette cover 38 is set opposite to a through hole 32 of the cabinet 31, and a stopper bar 45 of the cover is put into the cabinet 31 through a cut part 47 formed at the fringe of the hole 32. At the same time, the shaft 39 provided at the foot part 40 of the cover 38 is set opposite to the part 34. Then the cover 38 is pushed toward an arrow A and therefore the part 34 of the part 40 can be easily fitted to the shaft 39 of the cabinet 31.

    • PURPOSE:To inhibit the shift of a cassette carrier when a cassette is mounted on the carrier in a wrong posture and in a wrong direction, by providing the 1st and 2nd members which are actuated by the cassette mounted in a correct direction. CONSTITUTION:A cassette carrier shift preventing member consists of a slider 78 which can slide toward the rear part of the right wall part 70b of a cassette holder 70 and in directions of arrows K and L. A slider 79 provided at the back of the left wall part 70c of the holder 70 can slide also in directions of arrows K and L. When no cassette is mounted on a cassette carrier, the carrier is lifted to have a contact with a projected part. Both sliders 78 and 79 move down toward the arrow L when the cassette is mounted completely on the carrier in a correct posture. Then the cassette carrier can move horizontally. In case the cassette is mounted on the carrier in a wrong posture, one of the sliders 78 and 79 cannot move to the arrow L direction. Thus the cassette carrier has no shift.

CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 6 is put into a cassette stored part 2e, the free terminal of a slant part 4d of a cassette holding member 4 gets out of a slant guide bar 2j. When the cassette 6 is pushed further in the same direction, a hook bar 4f on the lower side of the part 4d hooks a hole 6a of the cassette 6. Thus the cassette 6 is held at a prescribed position in the part 2e. Then the cassette 6 is manually moved forward further, and a switch control bar 5d turns on a switch SW via an action bar 14. Thus a motor is revolved to move forward a feed member 10, and the cassette 6 moves forward automatically. Then a lock member 11 is turned counterclockwise, and a hook pin 12a gets out of a hook part 11c. Then a moving member 12 is moved to the front side by a spring, and a guide pin 1g is forcibly moved downward via a guide hole 2C. As a result, a cassette container structure matter is moved to the lower recording/reproducing position to set the cassette 6 at the recording/reproducing position.

As a result, the tip interlocking part 20 of the arm 17 has the linear horizontal and vertical movements along the hole 1 together with the lever 3. Therefore the height position of the part 20 has virtually no change during a horizontal shift of the cassette holding stage. As a result, for the vertical space to be secured for movement of the arm 17, it is sufficient to secure a range of the height T1 from the center O' of the gear 12 at the heighest position of the arm 17 at the areas higher than the center O'.
