    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration measuring device which achieves simpler measurement of concentration of a specimen to be measured than the prior arts.SOLUTION: A concentration measuring device 10 includes: first to third piping 21 to 23 forming a circulating path through which gas can circulate; a pump 25 which causes gas to flow to circulating direction D1 in the circulating path; a sample S arranged in the circulating path; and concentration measurement mechanism for measuring concentration of a target substance having come out of the sample S in the circulating path. The concentration measurement mechanism, for example, has a sample heater 63S, a catalyst C, a catalyst heater 63C, a detection chamber 27, a concentration sensor 26, and a control unit 40.

    • PURPOSE:To measure a gas to be detected with high sensitivity, by providing a lessening and covering layer for decomposing interference gases other than the gas to be detected on a gas permeable electrode film layer which is formed on a gas sensitive material layer made of metallic oxides. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensitive material layer 3 has high sensitivity to alcohol at the time when CH4, C2H6, H2 etc. are measured by the layer 3 consisting of a metallic oxide semiconductor such as SnO2, Fe2O3, ZnO2. Thereupon, a covering layer 1 for eliminating interference gases to decompose alcohol or accelerate the decomposition of alcohol is formed by LaNiO3 on a gas permeable electrode film layer 2 such as Pt which is formed on the layer 3. C2H5OH is decomposed to CO2 and H2O by the layer 1 and CH4 is permeated from the electrode 2 to the layer 3. Hereby, the gas to be detected is detected accurately. Further, an element heating heater 6 is provided on the opposite side of the electrode 4 of a substrate 5.
