    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator using a combustible refrigerant as refrigerant capable of safely exhausting the combustible refrigerant even in case of leak thereof within a machine chamber.
      SOLUTION: The machine chamber 21 provided in an upper portion of a refrigerator body 20 using the combustible refrigerant as refrigerant comprises an inlet port 35 provided at a left portion of a front partitioning wall 30 and an exhaust port 36 provided at a right lower portion thereof, so that air entering into the machine chamber 21 through the inlet port 35 is exhausted through the exhaust port 36 provided at the right lower portion of the front partitioning wall 30. Accordingly, even if the combustible refrigerant is leaked within the machine chamber 21, the combustible refrigerant can be safely exhausted out of the machine chamber 21 without needing to worry about, for example, a fluorescent lamp on a ceiling as a firing source, and the explosion of the combustible refrigerant can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator superior in heat exchange efficiency of a condenser by effectively using a limited bottom surface duct space.
      SOLUTION: This refrigerator has a machine room 22 arranged in a rear bottom part of a heat insulating box body, a bottom surface duct 40 communicating with this machine room 22, and having a suction port 42 and an exhaust port 45 in front, a compressor 20 arranged in the machine room 22, the condenser 27 arranged in the bottom surface duct 40, and a refrigerating cycle for successively connecting orifice mechanisms 30 and 31, evaporators 14 and 16, and an accumulator 32. The bottom surface duct 40 is provided with a partition plate 47 for forming a suction duct 41 for sucking air in the machine room 22 from the suction port 42, and a blowoff duct 44 for exhausting exhaust air of the machine room 22 to the exhaust port 45. The condenser 27 is arranged in the suction duct 41 and the blowoff duct 44.
