    • PURPOSE:To provide a constant stable combustion condition, by a method wherein, in a combustion type heater mounted to a car and the like, the oscillating frequency of an oscillating circuit driving a fuel pump is variable controlled according to a detecting value of the driving current of a fan motor having a battery serving as a driving source. CONSTITUTION:A combustion type heater mixes together fuel, fed from a fuel pump 8, and air, flowing in through an air suction port 12 with the aid of a blast fan 6 to burn the mixture in a combustion part 9, and heats air for heating, flowing through the outside 15 of the combustion part 9 with the aid of a fan 14 for heating and flows out through an outlet 16. In which case, a current detecting port 10 is provided for detecting the driving current of the fan motor of the blast fan. A frequency varying part 11 is mounted to an oscillating circuit 7 for driving the fuel pump 8, and the varying pat 11 is controlled according to an output from the current detecting part 11. This, even if a fluctuation in the voltage of a battery 5 is high and the number of revolutions of the fan motor is changed, causes a fuel amount to be varied therewith, resulting in the possibility to maintain a stable combustion condition.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of fuel supply rapidly and to prevent the generation of black smoke due to incomplete combustion even in case a sudden power failure takes place by a method wherein a control means adopted to throttle the opening degree of a flow rate adjust valve for a predetermined period of time is provided so as to reduce the amount of fuel supply on the base of a signal from a power failure detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The excitation of electromagnetic relays 36 and 37 is performed through an instantaneous stop signal generated from the power failure detector 25 attached to a power supply system for a motor M for driving a push-in type blower 21. Therefore, the output signal from an adjusting section 35 is usually applied directly to the flow rate adjust valve 33 through contacts 36b and 37b but in case where the instantaneous stop signal is generated from the power failure detector 25, the signal is applied to the valve 33 through a deductor 38. The deductor 38 generates to the flow rate adjust valve 33 a signal required for reducing by 5- 20% the actual opening degree of the valve in case where a boiler is in the oridinary operating condition. Accordingly, even when the number of revolutions of the push-in type blower 21 is reduced and the combustion air quantity is rapidly decreased due to the instantaneous stop signal, the amount of fuel supply also reduces correspondingly, so that the lowering of the air-fuel ratio is suppressed and the generation of black smoke due to incomplete combustion can be prevented.

When the A.C. electric source is cut due to the instantaneous power failure or the like, the voltage between the (f) and (d) points is maintained by a discharging from the capacitors 53, 54, 55 and the micro-computer acts till a reset circuit works. According to this method, the reset operation of the device may be necessary when the electric source has been restored.

With this arrangement, even in case that the power supply of electric cell is consumed, a safe operation can be assured and a replacement time for the power supply of electric cell can be extended.
