    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy usage display unit capable of displaying the present and past usages by a period unit after change even when the period unit of the displayed usage is changed, in displaying energy usage of the gas, water and the like used in a water heater.
      SOLUTION: This energy usage display unit is applied in a remote controller 1 of the water heater 2. The remote controller 1 comprises a counting process section 11, a display control section 14 and a display section 15. The counting process section 11 comprises a counting section 5 for counting the usage of the gas and the like, a memory section 6 for recording the data of the usage counted by the counting section 5 by a unit of predetermined period retroactive to past by a predetermined number of periods, and a counting control section 7 for writing the data of the usage of every prescribed time from the counting section 5 to the memory section 6. The display control section 14 reads out one or both of a count value of the counting section 5 and a stored value of the memory section 6 in accordance with a period unit required by a user, and creates the display data of the usage, and the display section 15 displays the usage on the basis of the display data created by the display control section 14.

    • PURPOSE:To make it positive to enter into a preignition state after a prepurge is performed for a predetermined time, by synchronizing timing of prepurge and preignition by connecting a prepurge timer and a preignition timer in series. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor C1 interposed by a timer circuit 1(9) starts charging at the same time an electric power is thrown-in. After a predetermined time has passed, a transistor Q1 is turned ON being charged, and a transistor Q2 is turned ON by the transistor Q1 being turned ON. When the transistor Q2 is turned ON, a transistor Q5 in a flame detecting circuit 13 is still in OFF state because flames are not formed at the starting when electric power is thrown-in. A transistor Q4 is turned ON by the voltage being supplied to the base of a transistor Q4, which makes a relay K2 pull-in. By this action, the contacted points K2-1 of a relay are changed into the side of an ignitor 4 to start an ignition, and entering into a preignition, and then a capacitor C2 in a timer circuit 2(10) starts charging.

When the actual temperature is decreased to a temperature lower than the set temperature, a mechanism which lights up a display lamp or stops combustion, is provided. When an element acting at 250°C, for example, as a set temperature of the feeler element, it is considered that a greater part of the elemnt operates when the concentration of oxygen within the chamber becomes 17W19%. Accordingly, the set temperature of the sensing element is considered to be satisfactory as long as it is within the range of 250°C+50-20.

Since a normally closed switch 11 is closed simultaneously with extinguishing of the indication lamp 9, current is supplied to a load controlling circuit 10 for starting combustion. At the same time, a normally opened relay switch 12 is closed and current is supplied to the indication lamp 9. Thus, the lamp 9 is lighted and indicates combustion. In extinguishing the apparatus, on the other hand, the switch 3 is pushed again.
