    • PURPOSE:To improve power generating efficiency and to stabilize the cracking reaction of fuel through averaging of exhaust gas temperature distribution, by a method wherein a catalyst reacting device is mounted on a flue duct for exhaust gas from a gas turbine, and fuel fed to the gas turbine is exchanged for secondary fuel having high combustion energy. CONSTITUTION:A cracking device, consisting of a fuel preheater 7a and a catalyst reactor 7b, is located in a flue duct 3a through which high temperature exhaust gas from a gas turbine 2a flows, and an auxiliary burner 8a for burning fuel (a) is disposed in the middle of the catalyst reactor 7b and in the flow direction of exhaust gas in the flue duct 3a. The catalyst reactor 7b consists of a plurality of reacting units 7c filled with a catalyst which are disposed parallel to each other in the flow direction of exhaust gas, and the fuel is caused to flow from the downstream end of exhaust gas to the upstream end. The combustion position of the auxiliary burner 8a is situated, as shown with marks X in a drawing, between a plurality of the reacting units 7c, and the fuel (a) is supplied to the auxiliary burner 8a through a branch pipe 8. Through the working of the auxiliary burner 8a, temperature in the reaction area of the catalyst reactor 7b is averaged.
