    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport powder more appropriately.SOLUTION: A char feed tube includes: a feed tube 22; a porous plate 26 separating an interior of the feed tube 22 into a powder channel 29 and an air chamber 30; and an assist gas supply device 28 supplying assist gas to the air chamber 30. The porous plate 26 is formed so that pressure loss generated when the assist gas flows from the air chamber 30 to the powder channel 29 via the porous plate 26 is greater than that generated when the assist gas flows with the presence of accumulated powder formed by accumulating the powder flowing in the powder channel 29 on the porous plate 26. Such a char feed tube can blow out the assist gas from the porous plate 26 to the powder channel 29 more uniformly, reduce a frictional force between the powder and the porous plate 26, and transport the powder more appropriately even if an accumulation volume of the powder accumulated on the porous plate 26 is irregular when the pressure loss is sufficiently large at the porous plate 26.
