    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fountain dispenser into which automated control by monitoring status, and a diagnosis system are incorporated.SOLUTION: The intelligent fountain dispenser 10 includes a controller 100 in electrical communication with a syrup valve 48, a water valve 30, a carbonator valve 24, a water level sensor 38, a flowmeter 34, and an input panel 60. The intelligent fountain dispenser also includes a dispenser housing 16 and a carbonator tank 20. The carbonator valve 24 supplies water to the carbonator tank 20 in accordance with instructions received from the controller. The controller 100 also instructs the syrup valve 48 and the water valve 30. The controller 100 performs systems diagnostics by monitoring voltage drop across a current detection resistors 26, 32, 50 based on information received from the water level sensors 40-44, flowmeter 34, and input panel 60. The controller 100 can also perform system diagnostics based on information supplied by a signature resistor 70 associated with the input panel 60.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated control and analyzing system for monitoring a state and maintaining a suitable action.
      SOLUTION: There is provided an intelligent fountain dispenser 10 which is formed of a syrup valve 48, a water valve 30, a carbonator valve 24, a water level sensor 38, a flowmeter 34, a controller 100 for electrically communicating with an input panel 60, a dispenser housing 16, and a carbonator tank 20. Water and carbon dioxide are mixed together in the carbonator tank so as to generate aerated water. The carbonator valve supplies water to the carbonator tank, based on an instruction received from the controller. The controller issues instructions of supply of syrup and aerated water to the syrup valve and the water valve, respectively, and issues instructions to the valves, based on information received from the water level sensor, the flowmeter, and the input panel. The controller carries out system diagnostics by monitoring voltage drop across current detecting resistors cooperating with the respective valves.
