    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive marine vessel capable of protecting an electric motor without using a frequency converter, and capable of being propelled by synthetic output of output from an internal combustion engine and from the electric motor.SOLUTION: Provided is a marine vessel in which output Wm from an electric motor and output We of a main engine which is an internal combustion engine are synthesized and then is transmitted to a variable pitch propeller. Target output Wmt of the electric motor is set (S210), then a target rotation speed Vet of a rotation speed Ve of the main engine is controlled so as to maintain the output Wm of the electric motor at the target output Wmt (S261, S271) for changing ratio of load sharing of the main engine and the electric motor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate turning operation of a case; and to prevent the turning operation of the case from affecting the rotation of a propeller. SOLUTION: In a turning type propeller device 1, the power of a propeller driving source 2 is transmitted to the propeller 11, and the direction of the propeller is turnable. The turning type propeller device includes a propeller shaft 10 with the propeller fixedly attached to one end thereof, and a driven gear 12 fixedly attached to the other end thereof; and a drive transmission shaft 20 for transmitting the power from the propeller driving source to the propeller shaft. The drive transmission shaft is composed of a contra-rotating shaft which includes a hollow outer shaft 30 having at one end thereof an outer shaft end driving gear 31 engaged with the driven gear; and an inner shaft 40 formed to extend through the inside of the outer shaft, and having at one end thereof an inner shaft end driving gear 41 engaged with the driven gear.
