    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-ground device which can ascertain the position of each of trains and transmit train control signals to the trains, even if the trains equipped with on-vehicle devices of different train control systems are travelling on the same rail line (region).SOLUTION: The on-ground device 1 receives a train detection signal (TD signal) from the train equipped with an ATC/TD on-vehicle device by means of loop coils 2-2, and receives a train position signal from a train equipped with a CBTC on-vehicle device by means of railroad radios 6-6. The on-ground device 1 ascertains the position of each train traveling along a route R on the basis of the input train detection signal and the train position signal, generates a set of control information for each train on the basis of the ascertained train positions, and converts the control information into ATC and CBTC signals. The ATC signal is transmitted to the loop coils 2-2by means of an information transmission part 4, and the CBTC signal is transmitted by means of the railroad radios 6-6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device wherein it is possible to appropriately control the speed and such of a train by receiving a train control signal from an on-ground facility for train control systems employing different methods.SOLUTION: The on-vehicle device 10 mounted on a train 1 contains: ATC/TD antennae 11a, 11b for receiving an ATC signal containing a set of train control information from a loop coil installed along the travel path of the train 1; an on-vehicle radio 12 for receiving a CBTC signal containing a set of train control information from a railroad radio installed along the travel path; an ATC control unit 141 for controlling the train 1 on the basis of the train control information contained in the ATC signal; a CBTC control unit 142 for controlling the train 1 on the basis of the train control information contained in the CBTC signal; and a selection unit 143 for selecting the ATC control unit 141 or the CBTC control unit 142 on the basis of at least one of the ATC signal and the CBTC signal.
