    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converting device which effectively uses energy accumulated by the regenerated brake of an electric vehicle, and controls the voltage applied to an electric double-layer capacitor to reduce the influence on life. SOLUTION: The power converting device is equipped with a VVVF inverter outputting VVVF controlled AC power, and with a CVCF inverter supplying CVCF to the auxiliary equipment of the electric vehicle, using DC power as an input. The device is furthermore equipped with a D/D converter, the electric double-layer capacitor, a regenerated electric power storage control means for converting AC power to DC power with the VVVF inverter to store the power in the electric double-layer capacitor via the D/D converter when the electric vehicle is activated by the regenerated brake, and a stored electric power output control means for outputting the DC electric power of the electric double-layer capacitor to either the VVVF inverter or to the CVCF invertor at a given timing in powering or stopping the electric vehicle.
