    • PURPOSE:To obtain a high printing durability with a higher adhesivity between the image section and a support by providing a chromium electrodeposited layer having a prjection on an iron member with the average center-line roughness Ra of 0.1-3mum as the support in a lithographic press plate having an image section obtained by electrophotographic system. CONSTITUTION:An iron member is 0.1-3mum in the average center-line roughness Ra, preferably 0.3-1.5mum particularly in the respect of wafer retainability. Among methods of producing the iron member with such an average center-line roughness, preferable is electrolytic plating. Especially, an angular crystalline substance and/or an aggregate thereof is excellent and preferable in the printing durability of a lithographic press plate. The angular crystalline sustance is preferably of a plate or a hexagon, for example, a cube. The plate-shaped crystalline substance is preferably hexagonal with the diameter per face of 0.5-5mum and the thickness of 0.01-0.8mum.

      CONSTITUTION: Two aluminum foils (including aluminum alloy foils) are laminated on each other, and the resultant laminate is subjected to laminate rolling twice to obtain the aluminum foil having a roughened surface with an average depth of 0.45W0.65μm and a thickness of 20W80μm. A sheet 2 of a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene terephthalate or stretched polypropylene is laminated onto the aluminum foil 1 by an extrusion system or a dry lamination system. A reinforcing metallic foil layer 3 may be provided on the back side of the resin layer 2, in which case the thickness of the aluminum foil layer 1 is set to be 10W40μm. After lamination, an anodic oxidation is conducted to produce an anodic oxide film.
