The second input signal is supplied to the laminated piezo-electric element 1 through the terminal 10. The laminated piezo-electric 1 is rapidly elongated in an arrow direction by inputting the second input signal. As a result, a high pressure is generated on the platen 8 through a type element 5, an ink ribbon 6 and paper 7, thus performing printing operation.
