    • PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of noise and vibration as well as shorten unit line-feeding time by a method in which is case where the next line-feeding signal is input within a given time after the ending of one unit of line-feeding action, a drive motor is so controlled that it can turn at a given speed without the need for through-up control.
CONSTITUTION: When a line-feeding signal is put in a commander 8, whether a through-up flag is set is judged by a central processor provided in the commander 8. When the through-up flag is set, a step motor 5 is subjected to a through-up control, and after the ending of the action, the flag is reset and a timer is started. When the next line-feeding signal is input when the time is within the time Tms, since the flag remains reset, the step motor 5 is driven at a given speed. When the time Tms in the timer is passed, the through-up flag is set and no through-up control is made for the next line-feeding signal to be input.

    • PURPOSE:To feed paper positively, and to prevent stacked printing by transmitting a paper-feed command signal over an electromagnet again when an elapsed time until the reception of a paper-feed detecting signal from a paper-feed detecting mechanism after the input time of the paper-feed command signal passes a predetermined allowable time. CONSTITUTION:When a paper-feed command signal is inputted, a printing motor 20 is turned and started, and timing pulses TP are transmitted. Paper-feed flags for flag regions ROM4, RAM6 are set to ''1'' at the same time as the transmission of timing pulses TP while the count value FCT of a paper-feed counter 2 is cleared to ''0''. Each electromagnet 12 for several paper-feed mechanism 9 is conducted. A crank arm 16 is operated and a paper-feed detecting signal (b) at an H level is received from a photosensor 30, the paper-feed counter 2 counts eight timing pulses TP, and the operation of the paper-feed is completed when the count value FCT reaches to eight. When there is the paper-feed mechanism 9 in which the photosensor 30 does not transmit a paper-feed signal at the H level though the count value reaches to eight at a time t1 and the operation of paper- feed is completed, excitation currents are flowed again.

    • PURPOSE:To feed paper positively, and to prevent stacked printing by continuously transmitting excitation signals over an electromagnet during a time until the reception of a paper-feed detecting signal from a paper-feed detecting mechanism after the input time of a paper-feed command signal. CONSTITUTION:When a signal such as a paper-feed command one to both printing paper 27 is inputted from a host computer 2, paper-feed flags 1 for flag regions ROM4, RAM6 are set to ''1'' while an excitation signal (a) is transmitted over each electromagnet 12 for several paper-feed mechanism 9, and conduction is started to respective electromagnet 12. Each crank arm 16 is operated, and conduction to several electromagnet 12 is interrupted at times when paper-feed detecting signals (b) at an H level from respective photosensor 30 are received, thus completing the operation of the paper-feed. When the paper-feed detecting signals (b) are not inputted positively though times when the paper-feed detecting signals (b) from each photosensor 30 are inputted are displaced, the excitation signal (a) from the electromagnet of interest 12 is not interrupted, thus resulting in secure paper-feed.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent noise from being generated and enable to precisely position a platen, by spacing a detent gear and a tip part of a detent lever from each other by a solenoid while a platen is rotated, in a typewriter or the like.
CONSTITUTION: When rotating the platen 1, an exciting signal is given to a solenoid 13 earlier by a predetermined period of time than an operating signal for a paper-feeding motor 5, whereby the detent lever 10 is rotated clockwise around a shaft 11 against a spring 12 by a pin 14, and the tip 10a of the lever 10 is spaced completely from the detent gear 9, so that the platen 1 is released from the detent. When the motor 5 is stopped after rotating the platen 1 by a predetermined angle, the solenoid 13 is de-energized, so that the lever 10 is again engaged to the detent. Accordingly, since no noise is generated and the detent mechanism is prevented from being abraded, the stopping position of the platen can be precisely set, and the platen can be positioned precisely and accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a difference in printed density from being generated between blocks, by feeding a recording paper at a specified pitch by one step of a pulse motor each time of time-sharing driving, when time-sharing driving a group of dot-forming elements of a line printer in a plurality of blocks. CONSTITUTION:The group of dot-forming elements located with a dot spacing in row direction of Ph are time-sharing driven in N blocks, and while feeding a printing paper by the pulse motor 1, characters are printed by using a dot matrix having a dot spacing in row direction of Ph and a dot spacing in column direction of Pv. When printing in this manner, the printing paper is fed by a pitch of Pv/N by one step of the pulse motor 1 each time of time-sharing driving.

    • PURPOSE:To perform accurate paper feed by using an inexpensive low output stepping motor, by constituting the titled apparatus so as to perform printing only when a detent mechanism is held under a mechanically stable state. CONSTITUTION:The protection part 10b projected from one end of a detent lever 10 and the actuator 13a of a microswitch 13 are arranged in opposed relation to each other and, therefore, a projection 10a is run on the ridge parts of the teeth of a detent gear 9 and, when the side of the projection part 10b is fallen, the actuator 13a is pushed to detect a mechanically unstable state. When the mechanically unstable state is generated as mentioned above, because the ON-signal of the microswitch 13 enters along with the ON-signal from key switch, paper is sent until a paper feed motor 4 is turned OFF by the microswitch 13 before a printing apparatus is driven and, thereafter, control is performed so as to perform printing.
