    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the double facer hot plate of a corrugation machine which enhance not only the quality of corrugated cardboard but also the utilization efficiency of the amount of heat.
      SOLUTION: The insides of the hot plate units 10A-10G which constitute the hot plate 10 provided to the heating part of a double facer are demarcated into a high temperature chamber 14 and a low temperature chamber 16 by a partition 12. A steam introducing port 20 and a steam recovering port 22 are provided to the base of the high temperature chamber 14. Steam is supplied to the high temperature chamber 14 through a pipe 18, a branch pipe 18B and the introducing port 20 to heat the high temperature chamber 14 and recovered through the recovering port 22, a branch pipe 19B and a pipe 19. At this time, the low temperature chamber 16 is heated to a temperature lower than that of the high temperature chamber 14 by the transmission of the heat from the inside high temperature chamber 14. The high temperature chamber 14 is formed to the part where the radiation quantity of heat to a double-faced corrugated cardboard sheet 38 to enhance not only the quality due to uniform heating but also the utilization efficiency of the amount of heat.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the thermal deformation of a hot platen within the allowable range by improving the heat transfer efficiency of the hot platen to a paper sheet traveling over the upper surface of the hot platen by making it thin-walled and decreasing the temperature difference between the upper and lower surfaces of the hot platen.
      SOLUTION: This double facer heating method is to manufacture a corrugated fiberboard by pasting together a strip single corrugated fiberboard "k" and a liner paper "n" superposed over each other while making them travel on the hot platen 20. In addition, the warpage of the hot platen 20 is restrained within the allowable range by arranging a heat dissipation means (a reinforcing rib 22) on the lower surface of the hot platen 20 and balancing the amount of heat dissipated to the single corrugated fiberboard "k" and the liner paper "n" on the upper surface of the hot platen 20 against the amount of heat dissipated from the lower surface of the hot platen 20.
