    • PURPOSE:To prevent a mold mounting platen from being deformed and consequently highly accurately mold pieces to be molded by a structure wherein a supporting member is interposed between a hydraulic cylinder and the base of the injection-compression molding machine so as to support the fixed mold mounting platen through the cylinder by means of the supporting member at the injection-compression molding machine. CONSTITUTION:Molten plastic material is injected from an injection cylinder 15 into a molding cavity 14 formed by a pair of movable half of mold 5 and a fixed half of mold 6. After that, a hydraulic piston 9 is raised slightly by hydraulic pressure, resulting in shifting a compression die so as to advance by a very small amount in the molding cavity in order to perform compression molding. In this case, the supporting member 12 is interposed between the hydraulic cylinder 8 and the base of the molding machine so that the fixed mold mounting platen 3 is supported through the cylinder 8 by means of the supporting member 12. In such a manner as described above, the deformation of the fixed mold mounting platen due to deflection can be prevented and consequently the pieces to be molded can be highly accurately molded.
