    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end mill whose cutting edge is excellent both in defect resistance and wear and abrasion resistance in the rough cutting of a metal mold material of high hardness while in the case of the machining process of corners of a metal die or the processing of a tool's protrusion amount becoming long, vibration can be kept damped, whereby even in the case of high-efficiency processing, long-life stabilized processing can be achieved.SOLUTION: The end mill has a plurality of outer peripheral cutting edges and bottom edges, the outer peripheral cutting edges includes a main outer peripheral cutting edge and a sub-outer peripheral cutting edge, the bottom edges has a main bottom edge and a sub-bottom edge. The main bottom edge is constituted of a circular edge with the length of its radius of curvature not smaller than 1.5 times and smaller than 5 times with respect to the radius of its tool, and a medium low gradient edge that extends from an end positioned opposite to an end which is connected to the outer peripheral cutting edge at the circular edge toward the center of the tool's axis. The sub-bottom edge and sub-outer peripheral cutting edge positioned in a position in which they are reduced in dimension in a range of not smaller than 0.0025 times and smaller than 0.01 times of the diameter of the tool thereof from the main bottom edge and the main outer peripheral cutting edge.
