    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring tool whose boring diameter is easily set in a manner to save the space, in the tool body which is fitted adjustably with a tool carrier having a rotatable workpiece setting member. SOLUTION: The boring tool has a tool body (2) to which a tool carrier (10) is adjustably attached to the direction of its radius. A setting member (42) functions to set the boring diameter of the tool. A driving mechanism is designed to convert revolution of the setting member (42) to that of the tool carrier (10). The driving mechanism is equipped with a differential spindle (13) designed to convert the revolution of a scale plate (26) to the movement of the tool carrier (10).
