    • PURPOSE:To obtain beautiful painted surfaces which do not contain any bubbles, by flowing out the paint supplied to the receiver in the rotary atomizing head as stramlets through numerous radial outlet holes by increasing the speed of the flow with centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:A negative high voltage is impressed on an atomizing head 3 fitted to a rotating shaft 1 by means of screws through the shaft 1. The head 3 is composed of a conical hollow cylindrical part 4 coaxially fitted to the shaft 1 and a front end wall 5 which closes the front of the cylindrical part 4, both of which are united to the shaft in one body. Paint reserving channels 8 are formed for the whole circumference at the deepest part of the inner peripheral surface of the space in the cylindrical part 4, and numerous paint outlet holes 11 which obliquely and straightly extended from the bottom part to the front side and which have openings 12 at the marginal part of the front end face of the wall section 5, are formed. The paint is supplied from a nozzle 10 to the channel 8 in the head 3 which rotates at high speed, and the paint A which fills the channel 8 flows into the hole 11 with centrifugal force. The flow of the paint becomes thinner as it approaches the opening 12, because the speed of the flow becomes higher. Then, these extremely thin filament- shaped flows of the paint flow out from the opening 12, and then, they are torn to pieces and become particles. As the result of this arrangement, no air is introduced in the particles of the paint.
