    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for Ohmic heating a food article, in particular, a food article which is made from the inhomogeneous mixture of a liquid phase and solid particles. SOLUTION: This device is for Ohmic heating a food article, in particular, a food article which is made from the inhomogeneous mixture of a liquid phase and solid particles, and has at least one heating tube which has a tubular cross section, and circular electrodes on both the ends and is made of an electrical insulating material. The two circular electrodes are connected to an electric source, and a heating device is supplied with a feed pump which is driven with a first motor, while the feed pump directly opens into the heating tube.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for heating sterilization of a liquid food, capable of avoiding damage to a food product due to direct contact with a high-temperature heating medium, and reducing residence time of the food in a high-temperature region with reduced time required for heat exchange, so that damage to the food due to high temperature can be reduced.SOLUTION: The device for heating sterilization for a liquid food includes: a pump 2 for the liquid food for feeding a concentrated liquid food 1; a coil-type tubular heat exchanger 7 for heating having a flow channel 6 with an inlet 3, an outlet 4, and a tubular heat exchange wall 5; a heat exchanger 12 for cooling having a flow channel 11 with an inlet 8, an outlet 9, and an exchange wall 10; a storage tank 14 for the liquid food product, which temporarily stores the liquid food product 13 reduced by cooling; a pump 16 for dilution water for feeding dilution water 15 for sterilization cooling; and a fourth flow channel 24 which allows a discharge port 22 of the pump 16 for dilution water to communicate with a confluent point 23 of a second flow channel 19.

    • PURPOSE: To make more than two types of liquid substances different in characteristics each transferrable at the specified pressure and flow rate in succession, by installing such a back pressure device that has a function to discharge these liquid substances while keeping the specified pressure constant.
      CONSTITUTION: A liquid transfer device is made up of a device 1 in use for feeding transfer pipes 8 and 9 with a liquid substance, these transfer pipes 8 and 9 and discharge pumps 3 and 4 in the midway of the transfer pipe. This liquid transfer device is installed at least two units in number, while these liquid transfer devices are connected to one piece of other transfer pipe 10 via a three-way valve 6. And, a back pressure device 5 provided with a function capable of discharging the liquid substance as keeping the specified pressure in the midway of the discharge pump 4 and the three-way valve 6 is installed in the rest of these liquid transfer devices except at least one unit of it. With this constitution, when the liquid substance in the device 1 is selected from that in a device 2, the flow rate and pressure of the liquid substance are not varied owing to action of the discharge pump and the back pressure device.
