    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid type fuel injection valve by which it becomes possible to prevent the resultant surging phenomenon even though the valve opening set force of a return spring is different, possible to decrease the controllable minimum spray quantity even though the responsiveness of a needle valve is enhanced and possible to expand dynamic adjusting range of a fuel injection quantity so as to aim at stabilization of the fuel injection characteristic and improvement in engine performance by preventing any irregular injection at the time of opening and closing of a needle valve. SOLUTION: Application of a fact that an unequally pitched coil spring can effectively damp a surging effect is used for this invention such that a return spring 21 for recovering a needle valve 10 to its seat position is made a multi-step unequal pitch spring and also its minimum contact load is made smaller than the lower limit value in an adjustment range of a valve opening set force caused by the return spring 21.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a necessity of a high pressure pump, a high pressure regulator, and a high pressure pipe by providing a pressure generation mechanism having a piston which is in the interlocking relationship with an armature and a fuel injection mechanism which receives the supply of high pressure fuel from the pressure generation mechanism to jet the fuel. SOLUTION: A pressure generation mechanism 5 of an electromagnetic fuel injection device 1 forms a pressure generation chamber 14 which is communicated with a low pressure fuel inlet 10 and a high pressure fuel passage 7 through a check valve 13 in a housing 2 of the device and stores a piston 15 in the pressure generation chamber 14 in such a manner that it can reciprocate. An armature 20 can reciprocate in an armature chamber 21. Moreover, a fuel injection mechanism 8 attaches an automatic valve 27 to a tip of a nozzle body 4 by a retaining nut 26. Low pressure fuel in the pressure generation chamber 14 can be turned into high pressure fuel by moving a push rod 19 fixed on the armature 20 upward to push up the piston 15. Consequently, a high pressure pump becomes unnecessary.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an injection characteristic and atomization characteristic even of a single spiral fuel injection valve in accordance with the operating conditions of an engine, to improve a combustion characteristic of the engine, so that fuel consumption and an exhaust characteristic can be improved, and to eliminate necessity for a big change in the conventional spiral fuel injection valve itself. SOLUTION: When a spiral fuel injection valve is used as the fuel injection valve and when a flow amount of fuel in a turn flow generating part of swirl flow forming slit 25 or the like is made variable, both an injection characteristic and an atomization angle can be changed, concretely, for instance, by additionally providing a simple fuel passage (bypass passage 26) communicating with a spiral chamber 24, both the injection characteristic and the atomization angle are made changeable, by aiming at this fact, and a flow amount variable means 28 variably generating a flow amount of fuel in the turn flow generating part (swirl flow forming slit 25) is provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stability of magnetic properties (magnetic property and nonmagnetic property), to improve magnetic characteristics through reduction of a leakage magnetic flux, and to perform the increase of the attraction force of an electromagnetic coil, improvement of responsiveness, and the decrease of a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In a core part 21 formed of a magnetic substance, paying an attention to a fact that the core part is divided into a part (an inside magnetic substance part 22 and an outside magnetic substance part 23) effecting welding with a cover 4 and a part (an upper magnetic substance part 24) to be assembled, and after welding with the cover 4 is effected, heat treatment (solution treatment of the cover 4 and tempering of magnetic substances 22 and 23) is executed, and the core part 21 is divided into the inside magnetic substance part 22, the outside magnetic substance part 23, and the upper magnetic substance part 24. After the cover 4 formed of a nonmagnetic substance is assembled between the inside magnetic substance part 22 and the outside magnetic part 23 and welded to each other, heat treatment is applied.
