    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for chemicals and to remove refuse floating in water and to prevent generation of water bloom by purifying water with both a filter medium and an ultraviolet sterilizing lamp and assembling the filter medium to one part of a filter tank during water treatment and floating the assembled filter medium in water at a time of backwash and separating attracted suspended matter from the filter medium. CONSTITUTION:Water to be treated is introduced into the inside of a filter tank 1 from a water passing net 2 and suspended matter contained in water is filtered. The water in the filter tank 1 is introduced into a tank 7 for housing the sterilizing lamps. Water bloom is killed by ultraviolet rays emitted from the sterilizing lamps 8 and organic substance contained in water is decomposed and removed. Further at a time of backwash, the filter medium 3 is strongly and forcedly floated in water by both liquid supplied through the water feed nozzles 11 and gas sent from a diffusing cylinder 12. Suspended matter attracted to the filter medium 3 is effectively separated and discharged to the outside. Filtering function is excellently reexhibited.

    • PURPOSE:To easily remove the suspended matter accumulated on filter media so that secondary chemical pollution is prevented and carcinogens are decomposed away by constituting the device in such a manner that ozone is brought into contact with the suspended matter remaining in the treated water produced after passing through the filter media and the flocculated and suspended matter circulates together with the water and pass through the filter media by which the suspended matter is adsorbed on the filter media. CONSTITUTION:The suspended matter gathers closely in the bottom in a filter medium housing tank 1 and is physically filtered by the filter media 3 while the water is subjected to the cleaning treatment in the above-mentioned filter medium housing tank. The pathogenic bacteria in the treated water are sterilized by the UV rays from a lamp 11 and the ozone, by which the org. matter is photooxidation-decomposed and COD and BOD as well as odorous components are decreased. Further, the ozone comes into contact with the the suspended matter of small particles passed the filter media and the suspended matter is converted to inorg. matter or flocculated. The suspended matter is adsorbed by the filter media at the time when the suspended matter circulates and passes again the filter media. The cleaning effect is thus progressed and the water is additionally cleaned. The filter media 3 is suspended and agitated in the water in the filter medium housing tank 1 in the case of back washing the filter media 3. The dust, etc., sticking to the filter media 3 are thus easily separated and removed.

    • PURPOSE:To clarify sewage at a high speed, by aerating the sewage with oxygen-containing gas in a biological reaction tank and recirculating the aerated sewage to the other part in the biological reaction tank through a recirculation flow passage. CONSTITUTION:The biological reaction water discharged from a biological reaction tank 1 is recirculated to the other part in the biological reaction tank 1 through the recirculation flow passage consisting of a take-out recirculation pipeline 2, the inlet chamber 5 in a solid-liquid separation apparatus 3 and a return recirculation pipeline 6, and the reaction of aerobic bacteria with the sewage is performed in the aerobic part 10 in the biological reaction tank 1. Subsequently, the reaction liquid in the aerobic part 10 passes through a communication part 8 to flow in the anaerobic part 11 in the biological reaction tank 1 to perform the reaction of anaerobic bacteria with the sewage. The liquid flowing through the recirculation flow passage is filtered by a porous membrane 4 to return the filter residue to the upper part of the biological reaction tank 1. By this method, filtering can be continuously performed over a long period of time.

    • PURPOSE:To increase filtering and backwashing efficiency, by using as a filter medium a fiber lump, elastic, almost globular with large specific surface ratio and providing an air diffusion tube for adjusting filter medium at the lower section of a filter medium layer. CONSTITUTION:By using as a filter medium a fiber lump 5, almost globular, elastic and of large specific surface ratio, the inside of the filter medium can be cleaned, and by providing an upstroke compartment 2 and a downstroke compartment 3 where the same comes down and circulating them, a sufficient washing flow velocity can be secured with a small degree of aeration. Further, after by washing, the filter medium 5 is totally aerated by an air diffusion tube 7 provided at the lower section of the filter medium to make a filter medium layer almost of uniform thickness. By said process, even if the aeration quantity is small, washing can be carried out sufficiently, and aeration time can be shortened to one half of the time required for the existing method to eliminate short circuit flows and prevent uneven treatment performance for each treatment cycle.
