    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which is capable of properly correcting an alcohol concentration by using an oxygen concentration.SOLUTION: A heater device 40 includes a Wheatstone bridge circuit 45, a power source V1, a current control transistor Q1, and an operational amplifier OP1. The Wheatstone bridge circuit 45 forms two bridge paths between a collector of the current control transistor Q1 and the ground. One bridge path is provided with a micro heater MH and a third resistance R3. The micro heater MH is disposed in the vicinity of an O2 output part 35 and holds an oxygen detection region at a desired temperature. The operational amplifier OP1 detects and amplifies an unbalance voltage of the Wheatstone bridge circuit 45 to control the operation of the current control transistor Q1. A main control unit monitors a voltage at a contact B and, when the voltage reaches a prescribed maximum voltage, determines the detection accuracy of an oxygen concentration to be improper.

      SOLUTION: This encoder 10 includes the detection elements 2a, 2b for output of a detection signal showing a detected magnetic field, a magnetic pole 3, and a rotation detection unit 6 for detecting which direction between a normal direction and a reverse direction is the rotation direction of the rotator. The magnetic pole 3 includes a plurality of N-pole domains 4 and a plurality of S-pole domains 5. The plurality of N-pole domains 4 and the plurality of S-pole domains 5 are alternately arranged along the rotation direction of the rotator. The width of the N-pole domain 4 (length along the rotation direction of the rotator) is wider than the width of the S-pole domain 5.

Consequently, it is possible for a driver to recognize erroneous indication of the shift range from simultaneous indication as the two shift ranges of the R range and the D range are simultaneously indicated on the shift indication part 30 by controlling indication of the shift range by the two ECUs in this way when the meter ECU 300 erroneously indicates the D range in spite of the fact that, for example, a real range is the R range as abnormality occurs in the meter ECU 300.
