    • PURPOSE:To prevent thrust from instantaneously increasing in acceleration in a water injection propulsion device wherein an engine driven impeller is provided in a water injecting duct provided on a stern by providing a communicating hole for communicating the inside with the outside of the duct just in front of the impeller in a position higher than a draft level in the water injecting duct when the speed of boat is low. CONSTITUTION:A communicating hole 10 for communicating the inside with the outside of the duct 13 is provided just in front of an impeller 14 in a position higher than a draft level in a water injecting duct 13 when the speed of boat is low. This communicating hole 101 is provided by forming a notch on the topmost portion of a packing 100. In this structure, the just front portion of the impeller 14 is negative-pressurized for 1 to 1.5 seconds in a position higher than the drift level L in the duct 13 just after the engine output is started to accelerate from low speed to throttle full opened speed. Thereby, outside air is sucked from the communicating hole 101, and the thrust is restrained from its instantaneous increase. After the fixed time is passed, the negative pressure disappears, and the suction of outside air is stopped, then the device comes in a full-opened normal performance.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure stable action of an oil pump, even when a ship body is tumbled, by arranging an air intrusion-preventing device, which prevents air from moving from an oil tank to an oil pump when the ship body is tumbled, in an oil supply passage for connecting the oil tank to the oil pump. CONSTITUTION:A water jet propulsion boat 10 is provided with an oil tank 41 arranged in a sideward part relating to an engine in a ship body 11 and an oil pump 42 connected in likage to the crankshaft of the engine 12. In the oil pump 42, lubricating oil in the oil tank 41 is sucked from an oil supply pipe 51 and press fed to a suction system pipings 29 of respective cylinders via two oil delivery pipes 52, 53. Here an air intrusion-preventing device 81 is interposed in an intermediate part of the oil supply pipe 51. This air intrusion- preventing device 81 is constituted by providing an oil tank side connection port 81B on one end part of a vessel 81A and an oil pump side connection port 81C on the other end part of the vessel 81A while protruding a tubular part 81D, communicating with this connection port 81C, into a space in the vessel.
