SOLUTION: The fixing unit with built-in thermostat is equipped with a ceramic heater 1, a holder 3 which holds the heater 1, a thermostat part 5 incorporated in the holder 3, and a fixing film 63 into which the holder 3 is rotatably inserted. The thermostat part 5 has a first terminal 7 and a second terminal 9 fixed to the holder 3, a fixed contact 11 provided to the first terminal 7, a movable contact 13 which contacts or moves away from the fixed contact 11, a movable spring 15 which energizes the movable contact 13 to the fixed contact 11, and a bimetal 19 which performs inverting operation at set upper-limit temperature to move a guide pin 17 upward and separate the movable contact 13 from the fixed contact 11 against the energizing force of the movable spring 15.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve device having simple construction for opening a valve with a low pressure loss when a fluid is supplied to flow and for closing the valve when the fluid is not supplied. SOLUTION: The valve device 1 provided in a water distribution flow path of a fuel cell system comprises a valve stem 2 provided in a valve box 5 having a valve hole 6 across the flowing direction, a valve element 3 provided on the valve stem 2 in an axially rotatable manner for opening and closing the valve hole 6, a magnetic part 10 formed of a magnetic substance and provided on the valve element 3, and a permanent magnet 11 provided outside the valve hole 6. The valve element 3 is always energized to the valve closing direction with the magnetic effect of the magnetic part 10 on the permanent magnet 11. When water flows, the magnetic element 3 is pushed by fluid pressure to open the valve, and when the water does not flow, it closes the valve by a magnetic energizing force to suppress the convection of gas in the flow path. The valve element energized by the magnetic force can be operated by a relatively small force at the initial stage of opening the valve against the energizing force. When water does not flow in the flow path, the valve element 3 can be restored into a valve closing state by the relatively weak magnetic force.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a valve in compact size, and make it possible to open and close it under low pressure without lowering seal performance.
      SOLUTION: One end of a cylindrical valve box 2 is set as an inflow port 3, and the other end is set as an outflow port 4. A valve seat 5 is formed on the inflow port 3, and a valve element 6 is movably provided. The valve seat 5 is composed of a circular magnet concentric with a valve hole 5c centered to a cylinder axis. The valve element 6 is formed of magnetic material. The valve element 6 is attracted to the valve seat 5 by magnetic force to close the valve hole 5c in the valve seat 5, and it opens the valve hole 5c by fluid pressure. The magnetic field from the circular magnet is distributed as a concentric circle along its circumference. Attracting force to the valve element 6 is uniformly added around the axial center of the valve hole 5c. The valve element 6 is attracted by a dense magnetic field at an inner circumferential part of the magnet to be guided toward the valve hole 5c constantly along the axial center. The valve is thus smoothly opened and closed. Since a stopper 7 in the valve box 2 regulates the valve element 6 to move in an effective range of the magnetic force, valve restoration force can be adjusted. By providing a porous member 8 impregnated in oil on the valve seat 5, seal performance can be effectively secured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device which can avoid the danger of firing and explosion caused by the misuse (abnormal use) of a battery. SOLUTION: In a safety device 10, lower aluminum foil 4 provided with an air vent 4b on a concentric circle at a center fusing position C is fused to the bottom surface of a metallic case 1, and upper aluminum foil 3 laminated with the lower aluminum foil 4 with an insulating ring 5 sandwiched at their contours is fused at the fusing position C to form a sealed element 20, with a ring-shaped PTC(positive temperature coefficient) element 6 placed on the upper surface of the upper aluminum foil 3 while being sandwiched between the upper surface of the foil 3 and the peripheral edge of a terminal cap 2. If the resistance value of the PTC element 6 increases as the result of the flow of an excess current, a current conducted decreases to prevent damage to a battery. When gas is produced, the gas directly presses the upper aluminum foil 3 through the air vent 4b in the lower aluminum foil 4, exerting a shearing force on the vent hole 4b and causing rupturing of the lower aluminum foil 4. The aluminum foils 3, 4 are separated from each other to shut off a current in a current- conducting path to prevent the temperature of the battery from rising. As the internal pressure further rises, the upper aluminum foil 3 is pressed against the inner peripheral edge of the PTC element 6 and ruptured to allow the gas to leak out.

Since the annular protruding part of the middle cap 2 and the peripheral wall part 14 of the base member 1 make an insulation distance between the switch part S and the reversing disc 5 and a cap 10 longer, its insulation performance can be improved without making the device large in size.

      SOLUTION: A fixed contact 2 is fixed to a base 1. In a plate spring 4, the base end part is held to the base 1, a moving contact 3 is formed at a tip part, and the moving contact 3 is energized to the fixed contact 2. A movable operation material 5 is swingingly borne by the base 1; and a tip part thereof is pushed up by depressing a base end part 5b. The pushing up of the tip part of the movable operation material 5 separates the moving contact 3 upward from the fixed contact 2. A guide pin 6 is movably arranged vertically in the base end-side upper part of the movable operation material 5, and the base end part of the movable operation material 5 is depressed, based on reversing action of a bimetal 7. When a reset shaft 8, installed under the movable operation material 5, is pushed upward, the moving contact 3 is pushed up and the bimetal 7 can be reset by pushing up the guide pin 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve element which can exhaust gas generated from the inside of an electrolytic capacitor to the outside.
      SOLUTION: Seals 8, 9 are arranged so as to close both ends of the aperture of a cylindrical housing 10 which are opened at an upper part and a lower part. The seals 8, 9 are made of a porous member 5 wherein a large number of very detailed holes, air gaps, etc. which pass gas and do not pass water are formed. The porous member 5 which is impregnated with oil 7 is arranged on the upper surface of the lower seal 9. A space is arranged between the porous member 5 and the upper seal 8. When the seals are attached in the electrolytic capacitor, humidity outside the capacitor passes the seal 8 and can enter inside the housing 10, but the humidity can not pass the porous member 5 and not advance inside the capacitor due to action of the oil 7 with which the porous member 5 is impregnated. When gas is generated at the inside of the capacitor and internal pressure rises with generation of the gas, the gas passes the lower seal 9, becomes air bubbles, passes the porous member 5 and is exhausted outside the capacitor through the upper seal 8.
