    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved U-shaped channel block allowing smooth transmition of load to its side walls when a vehicle or the like runs on a lid plate, while preventing shaking of a lid plate, and allowing easy construction work to enable an accurate channel construction, and capable of securing a wide area for a flow passage and to provide a forming mold therefor. SOLUTION: In a U-shaped channel block 1, the outer surface 7 of each side wall 2, 2 from its upper side to its lower side is formed as one even vertical plane, and stepped faces 9 serving as lid locks are formed as inwardly and downwardly tilted planar or curved faces. A downwardly diverging flow-passage- enlarging tilted face 13 crossing each stepped face 9 at right or greater angles is formed on the inner surface of each side wall below the stepped face 9. Therefore, load from a lid plate is smoothly transmitted to the U-shaped channel block 1 without causing large local bending stress on the side wall 2. Since each stepped face 9 is formed to project inside of the side wall 2, problems regarding strength do not arise even if no outer flange is formed at the upper side of each side wall, and the outer surface of each side wall can be formed as one plane.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining structure for road surface using a block which can be efficiently formed by use of a form having a simple structure in a draining structure for a water-permeably paved road surface and a draining concrete block. SOLUTION: A drainage channel is formed of a U-shaped sectional water-impermeable channel block 2 buried and arranged under the road surface and a water-permeable concrete or water-permeable asphalt-made top plate block 2 placed to cover the upper surface opening. The upper surface of the water-impermeable layer 20 of the road surface is set higher than the side wall upper edge of the channel block 2, the upper surface of the water-permeable layer 21 of the road surface is in the same level as the upper surface of the top plate block 3, and the edge of the water-permeable layer 21 is in contact with the side surface of the top plate block 3. The water carried in the water-permeable layer 21 of the road surface falls into the drainage channel 4 from the side surface of the top plate block 3. The water falling from an inclined surface on the road side is carried to the drainage channel 4 from the upper surface of the top plate block 3.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side ditch, in which noises at a time when an automobile travels can be prevented or reduced, which is executed simply and in which the weight and size of a block and the quantity of earth removed can be decreased. SOLUTION: In the grade variable type block for the side ditch, the whose surface from an upper side to a lower side is formed in a perpendicular having no irregularity in a side-wall external surface 9, an inwards projected internal flange 6 is mounted to the upper section of a side-wall internal surface and the top face of the internal flange 6 is used as a cover hanger 5, the cover hanger 5 is formed in a plane or inverted V-shaped plane or central projecting inner circumferencial surface inclined in the lower direction towards the inside of a water channel, and the underside of the internal flange 6 is formed in an inclined plane in the direction that the width of the water channel is expanded towards a lower section. A central section or a lower side section excepting an upper side section is formed in the perpendicular having no irregularity in the side-wall external surface, and the clock width of an upper end may also be formed in an inclined plane or an inclined cylindrical surface in the direction that block width at the upper end is narrowed in the upper side section. When difference is formed in the thickness of the side wall of the block in a section, in which the water channel is shallow, or a deep section, the side ditch is constructed while the perpendicular of the side-wall external surface as the outside in the cross direction of a road is formed in the same surface.
