USE:A water-soluble reagent useful for determination of a reductive substance, having improved linearity of calibration curve of formed water-soluble formazan. PREPARATION:A reaction product of p-nitrophenylhydrazine and p-R3-substituted benzaldehyde is reacted with a solution of diazotized N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine, prepared formazane is oxidized to give the compound of the example.

CONSTITUTION: The titled powdered salt is produced simply in high yields by allowing ammonia gas or amine gas to act on powdered carboxyl polymer, e.g., a copolymer of an olefinically unsaturated carboxylic acid, such as (meth)acrylic acid, or of a derivative thereof (e.g., chloroacrylic acid), thereby reacting the powdered carboxyvinyl polymer directly with the ammonia or amine gas. Because no solvent is necessary for neutralization, the titled salt can be produced in a simple process without encountering any problem of safety and hygiene and without using any equipment for recovering or treating with a solvent.

摘要： NEW MATERIAL:An azo compound of the formula (R is alkyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl). EXAMPLE:2,2'-Azobis(1-allylamino-1-imino-2-methylpropane)hydrochloride. USE:Radical polymerization initiator: it stably dissolves in an organic solvent as well as in water. PREPARATION:2,2-Azobis ( 1-alkoxy-1-imino-2-methylpropane )hydrochloride and an amino of RNH2 are suspended under stirring to effect the reaction, thus producing an azo compound having N-substituted guanyl group of the formula. The reaction is conducted in an inert solvent such as tetrahydrofuran at 5-30 deg.C preferably. The temperature of polymerization or copolymerization is usually 20-70 deg.C and it is an inert-gas atmosphere. The half time of the compound shown as the example is 18.8min in ethylene glycol at 80 deg.C.

A curing catalyst C is added to the kneaded matter under kneading and further a binder B such as furan resin is added under kneading to obtain the intended org. self-curing sand F. Since the thickener D is incorporated into the self-curing sand, the viscosity of the sand is increased and the sand F is usable for forming a sweeping mold and strickle. Integration of said formation and sand control is made possible and the rate of recovering and reconditioning the same is improved.

The mixture is agitated at a temperature of, preferably, about 20 deg.C or below to obtain the titled aqueous suspension.
