      SOLUTION: This drive force transmission device includes a connecting/disconnecting device 28 for connecting and disconnecting a drive force from a front wheel differential device 18 to a first drive force transmission direction converting part 20, and a multi-plate clutch mechanism 30 provided between an output of a rear wheel differential device 26 and a right rear wheel to continuously adjust a fastening force. Drag torque when releasing fastening of the multi-plate clutch mechanism 30 is made smaller than the friction torque of the rear wheel drive system between the first drive force transmission direction converting part 20 and a second drive force transmission direction converting part 24. A controller 25 disconnects the connecting/disconnecting device 28 and releases the fastening of the multi-plate clutch mechanism 30 when a mode is switched to a two-wheel drive mode, and thereby the controller stops the rotation of the rear wheel drive system.
