摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen a composition unstable region as much as possible, by a method wherein the composition unstable region that is formed at an initial stage in a process where the composition of the piezoelectric body is formed is specified in thickness when a piezoelectric body is formed through a hydrothermal method. SOLUTION: A platinum body 12 is formed as a common electrode on a nickel electrocast board 10 provided with an ink cavity. Furthermore, a titanium film 14 is formed on the platinum body 12. The titanium film 14 is made to serve as a base for forming seed crystals when a piezoelectric crystal PZT 16 is separated out through a hydrothermal method and furthermore to enhance the platinum body 12 as a common electrode in adhesion to the piezoelectric layer 16. A composition unstable region in the piezoelectric body 16 is made smaller than 0.1 μm in thickness when a hydrothermal method is utilized, by which a piezoelectric thin film can be lessened in thickness as a whole, so that piezoelectric devices can be formed on a board 10 as enhanced in mounting density. As a result, an actuator such as an ink jet head that is capable of printing data on a printing medium in high density can be formed.

SOLUTION: A film is formed by heating a collector including Pb, PbO or PbO2, etc., in an alkaline water solution including a metal, an inorganic salt, or an organic metallized compound. etc., of Ba and/or Sr, without needing any electrolytic process. In respect of reaction velocity, etc., it is suitable that the concentration of Ba and/or Sr is 0.025 mol/l or more and that the reaction temperature is 80 to 200 deg.C. As the alkaline water solution, a hydroxide of Ba and/or Sr, or separately. NaOH, KOH, or the like, is used, and preferably the pH is 12 or more, whereby crystallization is made easier. As the thickness of the film, 5 to 50 μm is suitable, whereby a corrosion resisting effect is obtained without lengthening the reaction time. Formation of a dense and continuous film can be seen by SEM observation.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion between a protection film and a substrate from deteriorating by forming a protection layer and a base layer on the almost whole face of a substrate and forming a piezoelectric thin film on the base layer. SOLUTION: A protection layer 14 formed of platinum is formed on the whole face of a nickel electroforming substrate 12. A base layer 16 formed of titanium is formed on the whole face of the protection layer 14. Patter etching is executed so that the base layer 16 remains based on a photo-lithography method using resist. The crystal of a film formed of zirconate titanate is formed on the base layer 16. A film 18 formed of zirconate titanate is grown on the crystal by water/heat synthesis method. An individual electrode 22 is stacked/ formed on the film 18. Thus, the deterioration of adhesion between the protection layer 14 and the substrate 12 can be prevented.

Ultrasonic cleaning is conducted in pure water for 3 minutes twice, and ultrasonic cleaning is conducted in 1mmol/l acetic acid aqueous solution for one minute twice. 12-hour drying is conducted at 100 deg.C, and a sensor electrode 3 and an actuator electrode 4 are separated from each other for vacuum evaporation.

As for a material compound containing constituent elements such as Pb, Zr and Ti which is used on the occasion of forming the pyroelectric material layer 2 by the hydrothermal crystallization method, chloride, oxychloride, nitrate, alkoxide, oxide or the like is preferable. Since the pyroelectric element is cylindrical, it can detect infrared rays with high sensitivity in relation to the incidence of the infrared rays from wide-range directions.
