    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high oil pressure without worsening workability.
      SOLUTION: A primary regulator valve 1400 is connected with a first oil passage 1304. The primary regulator valve 1400 controls line pressure by control pressure of a linear solenoid (SLS) 1600 and energizing force of a spring 1406. A pressure relief valve 1500 is connected with a second oil passage 1306 branched from the first oil passage. The pressure relief valve 1500 controls line pressure by control pressure of the linear solenoid (SLS) 1600 and energizing force of a spring 1506. The pressure relief valve 1500 drains oil pressure when line pressure becomes higher than a value controlled by the primary regulator valve 1400 by fuel of the primary regulator valve 1400.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrupt downshift, a line pressure reduction, and an overrun of a driving source due to a valve stick in a transmission control valve for downshift without any deterioration in downshifting transmission responsiveness.
      SOLUTION: When a valve element 54d in a flow control valve 54 for upshift is moved to the upshift side (upside) by means of an upshift signal pressure PVD, a downshift port 54c is shut off to block flow of working fluid to the flow control valve 58 for the downshifting side, so that even in the case of the valve stick while the flow control valve 58 is in a full-open condition, the flow of the working fluid toward the flow control valve 58 side is prevented by the upshifting control, and consequently, excessive downshift is prevented. In comparison with restriction of a drain opening carried out for preventing excessive downshift in the valve stick, excellent speed change responsiveness can be obtained because the flow control valve 58 is controlled to be opened to the full open according to accelerator operation quantity and the like in an ordinary time.
