    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DLC-containing sliding member having both of wear resistance and a friction coefficient, also having excellent adhesion with various base materials, and suitable for a rotor base material of a vane type pump.
      SOLUTION: The sliding member comprises: a base material 3 composing a structural material; an SiC-introduced layer 2 with a thickness of ≥100 μm formed by introducing SiC into the surface layer of the base material; and a DLC film 1 formed on the surface of the SiC-introduced layer. Preferably, the base material is a carbon sintered material; the film thickness of the DLC film is 1.5 to 2.5 μm, and its hardness is 1,000 to 1,500 Hv.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combinational sliding member capable of improving a seizure characteristic and a friction characteristic of the whole combined members, while reducing abrasion of both of the combined members.
      SOLUTION: This combinational sliding member has a first sliding member for forming a coating film of an amorphous carbon material having surface hardness of Hv 1,400 to Hv 4,000 and surface roughness of 0.05 μm or less in center line average roughness on a sliding surface, and a second sliding member for forming the coating film of the amorphous carbon material having surface hardness of Hv 1,000 to Hv 3,600 and surface roughness of 0.1 μm or less in the center line average roughness Ra on a sliding surface sliding with the sliding surface of the first sliding member. The surface hardness of the first sliding member has surface hardness higher by Hv 400 or more than the surface hardness of the second sliding member, and the surface roughness of the second sliding member has center line average roughness larger by Ra 0.005 μm or more than the surface roughness of the first sliding member.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve low-friction performance and endurance in sliding interfacial surfaces.
      SOLUTION: A sliding structure is equipped with: a first sliding member 1 with a first sliding surface 1a; and a second sliding member 2 with a second sliding surface 2a which slides on the first sliding surface 1a in contact therewith. An ester-based lubricating oil 3 is interposed between the sliding interfacial surfaces of the first and second sliding surfaces 1a, 2a. The first sliding member 1 is equipped with a metallic base material 11 and a resin coated layer 12 formed on the surface of the metallic base material 11. The resin coated layer 12 is equipped with a binder resin 121 and a nanotube-shaped filling material (imogolite) 122 which is diffused and held in the binder resin 121. The second sliding member 2 is made of a metallic material. Imogolite and an ester group of the ester-based lubricating oil 3 are chemically bonded and thereby an oil film comprising the ester-based lubricating oil 3 is chemically bonded to and is formed on the first sliding surface 1a made up on a surface of the resin coat layer 12.
