    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying catalyst capable of exhibiting excellent NOx purifying performance in a wide range from a low-temperature to a high-temperature. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying catalyst includes: an NOx absorbent material 1 arranged in the exhaust passage of an internal-combustion engine; an oxidation catalyst 2 arranged in the downstream side of the NOx absorbent 1; and an NOx reduction purifying catalyst 3 arranged in the downstream side of the oxidation catalyst 2. The NOx absorbent material 1 comprises a non-precious metal component having an NOx absorbing performance. The non-precious metal component desirably includes one or more kinds selected from CeO 2 , Gd 2 O 3 and Pr 6 O 11 .
