    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety in supplying fuel to a device equipped with a fuel cell. SOLUTION: An electric vehicle 10 with a fuel cell 30 mounted thereon includes a fuel tank 20 for storing the fuel therein and a connector receiver 40 in communication with the fuel tank 20 and opening on a surface of a vehicle body. A connector in a predetermined hydrogen supply device is connected to the connector receiver 40, to supply the fuel from the hydrogen supply device to the electric vehicle 10. The connector receiver 40 is provided with a fuel lid for covering it. When an instruction to open the fuel lid is input for supplying fuel, if it is determined that the fuel cell 30 is in operation, the fuel lid will not open.       SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is composed by stacking a plurality of unit cells 12. The fuel cell system is provided with electric heaters 30 each having a bimetal 32 and a heating element 34 and disposed between the unit cells 12, and is so structured that, when the temperature of the bimetal 32 is set lower than a predetermined value, the bimetal 32 is deformed to carry a current to the heating element 34. Since the ON/OFF of the current carried to the electric heater 30 can be switched according to the temperature of the bimetal 32, the need of a circuit or the like for controlling the current carried to each electric heater is obviated, and the fuel cell can be warmed up with a simple structure.

Accordingly, an oxidation gas concentration remaining in the fuel cell can be reduced quickly, and a voltage of the fuel cell can be reduced efficiently and the safety of the worker can be enhanced at a time of maintenance of a fuel cell system.
