    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce friction loss, and to prevent deterioration of rolling service life due to abrasion by preventing an edge load.
      SOLUTION: In a rocker arm 12 of the roller rocker arm type valve gear 10, a roller 24 is turnably supported by a roller pin 26 via a plurality of needle rollers 22. A diametrally enlarged part 30 with a diameter enlarging from a roller 24 width direction center part side toward both end part sides is formed on roller 24 width direction both ends in an inner circumferential face of the roller 24. When there is an error of alignment during manufacture, or due to operating conditions or the like, and an outer side roller 24 is tilted by abutting with a cam, edge loads tend to occur in respective axial (a roller 24 width direction) end parts of the inner circumferential face of the roller 24, and the plurality of needle rollers 22. But, since the diametrally enlarged part 30 is formed on the roller 24, even if the roller 24 is tilted, the edge loads do not increase in the axial end parts of the inner circumferential face of the roller 24, and the plurality of needle rollers 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller rocker arm for maintaining fluid lubrication and reducing friction loss even under low speed and high oil temperature operation condition wherein an oil film between sliding surfaces becomes thin.
      SOLUTION: An inside roller 22 and an outside roller 24 are coaxially and rotatably supported on the rocker arm 12 and are arranged in a double ring shape. A crowning surface portion 30 and a chamfer 32 serving as inclined surfaces are formed at opposite ends in a width direction of an outer peripheral surface of the inside roller 22. Because of the crowning surface portion 30 and the chamfer 32 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the inside roller 22, even when the outside roller 24 is tilted, an edge load does not increase at axial ends of an inner peripheral surface of the outside roller 24 and the outer peripheral surface of the inside roller 22 and oil film breakage is not caused. Wear resistance which is an advantage of a plain bearing is kept high and fluid lubrication is maintained even under the low speed and high oil temperature operation condition so that an increase of friction loss can be prevented.

      SOLUTION: On the side of one end 12 of the rocker arm 1, a pivot member 11 is provided which is supported on a receiving member 2 provided on a cylinder head 4 in a relatively pivotal motion adaptable manner. On the side of the other end 13, another end is provided which engages with the front end of a valve shaft 31 forming a suction/exhaust valve 3 in a relatively sliding motion adaptable manner. A steel ball 25 is installed between an front end 111 of the pivot member 11 provided at one end 12 of the rocker arm and a receiving portion 21 of the receiving member 2 for rolling motion between the front end 111 and itself. A roller 15 in rolling contact with a cam 5 is rotatably mounted at an approximately central porion of the rocker arm 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder lubricating device capable of providing good lubricating performance in a cylinder of an engine, especially a diesel engine using fuel as lubricating oil.
      SOLUTION: The cylinder lubrication device 20 is provided with a high pressure fuel injection valve 19 injecting fuel into the cylinder 21 of the engine 1 at high pressure, and a low pressure fuel injection valve 24 injecting fuel into the cylinder at low pressure. The low pressure fuel injection valve 24 is supplied with fuel by a lubrication pump supplying fuel as lubricating oil to an engine lubrication system such as a periphery of a cylinder head and a periphery of a crankshaft. Injected fuel can be adhered on a cylinder liner 22 without evaporating the same by injecting fuel into the cylinder 21 at low pressure. Consequently, fuel evaporates on the cylinder liner 22 to avoid getting into a dry condition to reduce friction.
