    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for analyzing eye fixation related potential which can evaluate attention concentration precisely by sorting a saccade by various kinds of states and calculating the eye fixation related potential. SOLUTION: Eye movement and a brain wave signal are measured, and occurrence of the saccade is determined based on the measured eye movement to detect a saccade size and a saccade finish time to extract the brain wave signal with the saccade finish time as a trigger. The saccade size is sorted into a state according to the saccade size. Then, the arithmetic mean of the extracted brain wave signals corresponding to each of sorted states is calculated to calculate the eye fixation related potential of each sorted state, and the average saccade size of each state is calculated based on the saccade size corresponding to each of the sorted states. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attention allocation control device capable of detecting the degree of attention and a point to which a driver concentrates attention and urging the driver to give optimum attention allocation.
SOLUTION: The attention allocation control device calculates optimum attention allocation while considering the peripheral states of its own vehicle and the position and speed of the vehicle. Since the control device can alert the driver to give optimum attention allocation for safe driving by detecting driver's attention allocation from a driver's sight line and face movement and comparing the detected result with the optimum attention allocation, always safe attention allocation can be maintained in driving. Since the attention allocation is controlled on the basis of a difference between the optimum attention allocation and the driver's attention allocation, processing of a computer can be easily performed and precise and correct alarms or notification can be given to the driver.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device which detects obstacles in a vicinity of a mobile body and provides reliable information to a driver without troubles or monitoring omissions.
SOLUTION: When a detected obstacles is not recognized at present, but was recognized at least once in the past, the information providing device determines whether or not the information on the obstacle is provided to a driver considering the time of elapse from the change of the state or the last recognition of the obstacle. Therefore, the operational safety of the mobile body is ensured, the information quantity provided to the driver is not excessive, and the information without troubles can be provided. If any obstacle or the like is detected around the mobile body, and the information on all obstacles is provided to the driver, the information will be very troublesome. Therefore, troubles by information provision is reduced while the safety of the information provided to the driver is maintained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure triggered brain waves by obtaining the optimal number of times of addition average processing. SOLUTION: A signal processing part 14 extracts group brain wave data with a synchronizing signal outputted from a synchronizing signal output part 12 as a trigger. Then, average addition processing is carried out by a-pieces of odd group brain wave data to lead out an odd group triggered brain wave. In addition, average addition processing is carried out by a-pieces of even group brain wave data to lead out an even group triggered brain wave. The signal processing part 14 compares the odd group triggered brain wave with the even group triggered brain wave to calculate the degrees of correlation (the degree of coincidence) of the wave forms of them. When the degree of coincidence is high, addition average processing is carried out by using a-pieces of odd group and even group brain wave data to lead out the triggered brain wave. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brain training support apparatus which effectively support training of a trainee to change an electroencephalogram by recalling a movement. SOLUTION: A direction generating section 34 generates a message that directs a trainee to recall a predetermined movement and a display apparatus displays the message to the trainee. A cap-type electrode 12 detects electroencephalograms at a plurality of parts on the surface of the head of the trainee, and a topography generating section 26 generates an electroencephalographic topography showing a power spectral density distribution of each frequency band of the electroencephalogram. An identification section 32 identifies correspondence between the power spectral density distribution of each frequency band of the electroencephalogram and kinds of recalled movement, and an input determination section 36 determines whether a movement is recalled properly or not. When the input determination section determines that a proper movement is not recalled, a stimulator 14 gives stimulations to parts related to the directed recalled movement. The generated topography is displayed on a display apparatus 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
