    • PURPOSE:To restrict the amount of oxygen contacting with a cathode and to lower the value of a thereshold electric current, by covering an electrode provided on both sides of an oxygen ion transmission body with a porous layer. CONSTITUTION:Heat-resistant electrode layers 2, 3 are formed on both sides of an oxygen ion transmission body 1 consisting of a solid electrolyte body formed a solid solution of ZrO2, HfO2 with a stabilizer such as CaO, MgO, Y2O3. The layers 2, 3 are covered by porous layers 4, 5 composed of a heat-resistant inorganic matter. The moving speed of oxygen is controlled by making the gas transmissivity of the layer 4 of a cathode 2 side smaller than that of the layer 5 of an anode 3 side. The gas transmissivity of the layers 4, 5 depends upon the diameter and density of fine holes and the thickness of the porous layer and 20-150mu thickness of the porous layer of the cathode 2 side and about 50:1-5,000:1 ratio of the layer thickness vs the diameter of the fine hole, are preferable. The gas transmissivity is enlarged by making the thickness of the layer 5 of the anode 3 side equal to or thinner than that of the layer 4 of the cathode 2 side or by enlarging the hole diameter.

    • PURPOSE:To improve piezoelectric characteristics while enhancing anisotropic characteristics by dissolving the metallic salt of a water-soluble organic acid into water, dispersing potassium titanate fibers and thermally treating the whole in a pressure-resistant vessel. CONSTITUTION:Water is added to barium acetate, lead acetate, manganese acetate and nickel acetate, and agitated and dissolved. Potassium titanate fibers are added to the whole, agitated and dispersed and introduced into a vessel made of platinum, and admitted into an autoclave having pressure-resistant structure and ydrothermally-synthesized. The whole is cooled, fibers are separat ed, and the whole is washed by deionized water, and dried. The direction of fibers obtained is aligned, and the fibers are pressure-molded and sintered by a closed furnace. A sintered body is cut in the direction vertical to the direction of fibers, silver paste is applied and DC voltage is applied in silicone oil, and the sintered body is polarization-treated. Accordingly, piezoelectric characteris tics are improved while anisotropic characteristics are enhanced.

Said adsorbing material 22 is formed by a method wherein water and an org. binder are mixed with powdery activated carbon obtained by grinding particulate activated carbon in an appropriate amount and, after molding, the molded object is dried and, because one with a fine pore size of 14Å or more formed, a particle having a particle size with a wide width is adsorbed.

    • PURPOSE:To incinerate the particles not burnt uniformly and positively while enabling the regeneration of a collector by burning the collected particles not burnt through dielectric heating by high frequency. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas is generaed at a diesel engine 1, and introduced into an electric dust collector 3 through exhaust mainfolds 2. The particles not burnt in the exhaust gas are ionized here and attach on a dust collecting pole, is changed into large aggregates and mixt into the exhaust gas again, and flow into a cyclone 6 at the opening side of a branch valve 5 through a branch pipe 4. The exhaust gas is collected to the surroundings of electrodes 8, spirally turning in the cyclone 6. When the amount of collection is some extent or more and the exhaust gas does not flow in, high frequency is applied to the high-frequency applying electrodes 8 from a high-frequency generator 7, and the collected particles not burnt are incinerated through the dielectric heating by high frequency. Combustion gas incinerated is discharged from an exhaust pipe 9.
