    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of an electric motor having a split core.
      SOLUTION: A core 20 split with a foundation portion 32 split and an erect portion 34 are fastened with bolts 36. This brings a joint surface 46 of the foundation portion 32 to the erect portion 34 into close contact with each other, thus reducing magnetic resistance and improving efficiency. The bolt 36, made of non-magnetic material, reduces the number of magnetic fluxes passing through the bolt, thus reducing an eddy current developed in the bolt. Moreover, a ratio (H/D) of a distance H between a teeth front end face 48 and a bolt head top face 50 to a diameter D of a bolt hole is set at ≤0.3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of coil cooling by effectively transmitting the heat that a coil generates to the iron core of a stator.
      SOLUTION: Smoothing is performed for a face at which the bundle 14a of coils contacts with a stator iron core (b). For this smoothing, it will do to process it to such a degree that it does not break the insulating film 18 of a rectangular coil 16, leaving an insulating material at the smoothed face of the bundle 14a of coils, or it will do to process it so far as to remove the insulating film 18 of the rectangular coil 16, and then to form an insulating film on this processed face. As regards the formation of the insulating film on the smoothed face, it will do to so form an insulating film 19 as to cover the entire bundle 14a of coils by wrapping, for example, an insulating tape, etc. (c), or it will do to form an insulating film 20 anew only on the smoothed face (d). Since the bundle 14a of coils where smoothing is applied can transmit heat efficiently when contacting with the stator iron core, the efficiency of coil cooling is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which a size reduction and a high performance are realized by improving a cooling method.
      SOLUTION: In the rotary electric machine, assuring of a magnetic path by the deflection of a magnetic flux line 25 and enlarging of a region 26 which can be cooled are realized by forming a stator core 23 of a dust core material and adding a collar-like additional region 23a to this stator core 23. The reason why such a constitution is formed is because since a loss heat is generated in response to a magnetic flux in the stator core 23 and simultaneously the heat is added as the current loss of the stator coil 22 itself at the place where the magnetic flux in the stator core 23 is generated around a stator coil 22 from the stator to the magnet of a rotor, it is desired to set a refrigerant channel 26 in the region which surrounds the magnetic flux in the stator core 23. In other words, the stator core 23 is suitable to have the refrigerant channel 26 in the interior or the front surface of the stator core of the region which is not interfered with the dense part the magnetic flux line 25 generated with the stator coil 22, and passing through the interior of the stator core 23.

Neither teeth projecting to the rotor 10 side nor coil for applying torque to the rotor 10 are provided to the surface 14-1 which faces the rotor 10 in the second stator 14. A suction force, the direction of which is opposite to that of the suction force working between the rotor 10 and the first stator 12, acts between the rotor 10 and the second stator 14, enabling the suction force applied to the rotor 10 to be reduced.
