    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip capable of securely preventing water or the like from entering inside of the vehicle by reducing the weight, stabilizing mounting state, and blocking the clearance with a flange.
      SOLUTION: The weather strip 1 is equipped with a main body part 5 and a clip 6. The main body part 5 is equipped with a substantially tabular base part 8 and a hollow seal part 10 along a flange 7 at the circumferential edge of a door opening 4 of an automobile 2. A substantially tabular buffer part 17 having a substantially same thickness is provided on a flange 7 side wall surface of the base part 8. The base part 8 is made of a hard material H, and the seal part 10 and the buffer part 17 are made of soft material S having comparatively flexibility. When the weather strip 1 is locked and fixed to the flange 7, the buffer part 17 is elastically deformed by pressing of the base part 8 toward the flange 7 with the clip 6. Therefore, the clearance between the main body part 5 and the flange 7 is securely blocked to be able to prevent infiltration of the water or the like.

      SOLUTION: The belt line molding 4 comprises a long-sized molding body 5 and end caps 31 to be attached to both ends thereof. An interior-side side-wall part 9 is notched in a terminal end of the molding body 5, and, by the existence of the notch 16, the terminal end of the molding body 5 is provided with an upper engaging recessed part and a lower engaging recessed part. Adjacently to the notch 16, a tapered surface 22 is formed on an end side of the upper engaging recessed part. While an upper locking part 35 of the end cap 31 is engaged with the upper engaging recessed part of the molding body 5, the end cap 31 is turned in the closing direction about the upper locking part 35, and a lower locking part 36 is locked to the lower locking part of the molding body 5 while positioning is performed in the longitudinal direction. In one process, movements not only in the cross sectional direction but also in the longitudinal direction are regulated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door weatherstrip and its manufacturing method, which restrain an increase in production cost, an increase in work man-hours, reduction in productivity and reduction in appearance quality, when manufacturing the door weatherstrip.
      SOLUTION: A rear upper corner part 2 of the door weatherstrip 1 is constituted by joining two extrusion molding parts 12 and 13 composed of EPDM sponge rubber. Joining end surfaces of the extrusion molding parts 12 and 13 are respectively cut so as to taper off over to the outer peripheral side from the inner peripheral side of the door weatherstrip 1, and respectively become the substantially same inclination in the longitudinal direction of the respective extrusion molding parts 12 and 13 along a bisector of a corner angle A, and become surface symmetry so that its cross-sectional shape is mutually adjusted. The mutual joining end surfaces of the extrusion molding parts 12 and 13 are joined via a sheet material 30 being an adhesive medium.

      SOLUTION: The glass run is assembled to an automobile door. A car outside seal lip 23 at an upper side part 7 of the glass run is divided to a base side part 26, an intermediate side part 27 and a tip end side part 29 by forming a first bending part 24 bent at a predetermined angle so as to become a projection toward a cabin side and a second bending part 25 bent at a predetermined angle so as to become a projection toward the outside the car. When the door glass G is advanced into the upper side part 7 of the glass run, a tip end part of the door glass G pushes out the intermediate side part 27 to the outside the car and the first bending part 24 is elongated/deformed. At least the tip end side part 29 is inclined to the cabin side making the first bending part 24 as an axis while the first bending part 24 and the second bending part 25 downwardly slide accompanying with this. Thereby, the neighborhood to the tip end part 28 of the car outside seal lip 23 is abutted on the car outside surface of the door glass G.
