      SOLUTION: A user copies a genuine template file, a 256-color pallet data file, and an instruction manual for a portable terminal 100 from a Web 202 or a CDROM 203 to a PC 200. The template file is a file of collection of parts, corresponding to various displaying status in a screen display of the portable terminal 100. Each of parts in the template file is edited, to create an original customized file by a Photoshop(R) 201 of a general-purpose image processing software. A unique extension name is attached to the customized file, and the customized file is transmitted to the portable terminal 100. The portable terminal 100 automatically extracts each image of parts from the customized file to save in an internal customized parts memory. The portable terminal 100 automatically selects an image of parts, corresponding to various display modes, from the customized parts memory for display.

When the obtained reference image and the determination image are compared, vertical components of both images are emphasized respectively (step S2, S4). Then, difference of the reference image and the determination image having the emphasized vertical component is determined and the foreign matter stuck by the passenger doorway door is detected based on the difference (step S5-S10).
