    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine in which rigidity near an opening for inspections can be improved.
      SOLUTION: A main body 3 is constituted of a base 1 and an outer box 2, and the outer box 2 is constituted of side plates 4 and 5 constituting left and right side faces, a top plate 6 constituting an upper side face, a front cover 7 constituting a front surface, a reinforcing plate constituting an upper part which is a part of a rear side face and a reinforcing plate constituting a lower part which is a part of the rear side face. Between the reinforcing plates, the opening for the inspections is formed and a back lid capable of closing the opening for the inspections is provided. At some part of a part from the peripheral edge part of the opening for the inspections to the surrounding part of the side face where the opening for the inspections is formed, a top plate strengthening part 29 and a side plate strengthening part 27 with a level difference are provided. Thus, the rigidity of the outer box 2, especially near the opening for the inspections, is improved, and the anxiety of the rigidity near the opening for the inspections due to weight increase accompanying the performance improvement of a motor and vibrations when washing, dehydrating and drying operations is suppressed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more securely prevent a thermistor from being affected by air flow, and to more securely prevent false detection in detecting presence of water in a tank for storing dehumidifying water by using the self-heating thermistor.
      SOLUTION: In a water detecting storage portion 52 of the tank 27 for receiving and storing dehumidifying water, the bottom 52a is formed lower than the bottom 51a of the portion in the periphery. Lower ends 68a and 75a of first and second windshield cylindrical portions 68 and 75 surrounding the first and second thermistors 56 and 57 are inserted into the water detecting storage portion 52 from above. The lower end 86a of a suction port 86 of a drain pump 85 is set higher than the lower ends 68a and 75a of the first and second cylindrical portions 68 and 75. Water is stored in the water detecting storage portion 52 after draining, and the lower end openings of the first and second cylindrical portions 68 and 75 are closed with the stored water, and therefore, the first and second thermistors 56 and 57 can be prevented from being affected with the peripheral air flow.
