    • PURPOSE: To provide a frying pan which can transfer heat well to food to be cooked and can evenly heat it by putting a carbon material, which has a layer including precious metal elements at least on the surface of material with high thermal conductivity, between stainless steel plates and contacting/ connecting them. CONSTITUTION: The frying pan 11 has three layers: thin stainless steel plates 21 and 22, which is a pair of surface and rear sides and whose section is made to be U-shaped with a taper, and a carbon part 23 put between thin plates 21 and 22, whose section is made to be U-shaped with a taper. The layer including precious metals on the surface of carbon part 23 is formed as precious metals such as copper, silver, or gold are melted and impregnated in the carbon part, or a coating layer made of copper, silver or gold is formed by the physical vapor deposition method (PVD) such as vacuum evaporation on the surface of the carbon part. By forming a space 24 without carbon part in it on the side surface 14 of the frying pan 11, heat transfer to the lid or the handle can be greatly controlled.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance the heat transfer and soaking to a food to be cooked, insulate the heat transfer to a lid or handle, and also provide heat retaining and steaming effects by forming a body into a multilayer structure in which a carbon material is nipped by stainless steel plates, and using a carbon plate and a carbon powder/grain as the carbon materials for the body bottom part and the body side surface part, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A pan body bottom part 13 has good heat conducting and soaking effects by connecting a carbon plate 23 having a high heat conductivity to a stainless steel plate 21. Since carbon materials 23, 24 having relatively high thermal capacities are used in the body bottom part 13 and a body side surface part 14, heat retaining and steaming effects after stop of heating can also be provided. The carbon powder/grain layer 24 is provided on the side surface part 14, whereby the heat insulation to a lid 16 or handle 15 can also be more facilitated than the case using aluminium or clad steel. Further, both the effects of the heat transfer from the side surface part 14 to a material to be cooked and the heat insulation to the lid 16 or handle 15 can be freely controlled by regulating the kind or filling ratio of the powder/grain 24.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance the heat conductivity to the food to be cooked and enable cooking with uniform heat, by forming the cookpot including a container-like body having its bottom portion and side portion with an almost channel-shaped section, the body being formed to be a multi-layer structure from stainless steel plates interposing a carbon plate therebetween, and the side portion being provided with a vacant space without the carbon plate. CONSTITUTION: A cookpot comprises a body 11 having a bottom portion 13 and a side portion 14, and a circular opening 12, the side portion 14 having a handle 15 attached by welding, riveting or the like. The opening 12 of the body 11 is opened and closed by a lid 16. In this case, the body 11 is formed to be a three-layer structure consisting of a pair of stainless steel thin plates 21, 22 formed to have a channel-shaped section by deep drawing machining, and a carbon member 23 interposed between the thin plates 21, 22 machined to have a channel-shaped section; in the upper part of a side portion 14 of the body 11, a vacant space 24 not housing the carbon member is formed. Thereby, an excellent heat conductivity can be obtained, and a handle 15 can be prevented from being heated to a high temperature.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a single crystal of high purity without quality reduction caused by leaching or evaporation of impurities in the carbon material at elevated temperature, by forming one or more of the graphite crucible, graphite heaters and graphite insulating cylinder from a high-purity graphite material of the total ashes regulated. CONSTITUTION:In the apparatus, at least one of the graphite crucible 1, graphite heaters 2, and graphite insulating cylinder 3 is made from a high-purity graphite of less than 5ppm total ash content, which is produced by firing, graphitized, and purifying under vacuum, as heated by the high-frequency method. The graphite is preferably isotropic or less than 1.1 anisotropy. At least a part of the material forming the insulator 4 between the heater 2 and the outer wall of the reactor, the dumping material 5 between the inner crucible and the graphite crucible, the clamps 13 for the electrodes are preferably made from the high-purity graphite.
