摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous primer for a polyolefin that is suitable for coating a molded article made of a polyolefin (as an object to be coated) and can reduce the discharge amount of a VOC (volatile organic compound) and improve the working efficiency of coating and to provide a process for coating the molded article made of a polyolefin using the aqueous primer. SOLUTION: The aqueous primer for a polyolefin comprises (a) an aqueous polyolefin resin, (b) an aqueous polyurethane resin and (c) an aqueous crosslinking agent and is used by regulating a solid content to 30 wt% or more upon the application of coating. The process for coating the molded article made of a polyolefin comprises applying the aqueous primer (A) on the molded article made of a polyolefin, applying a melamine resin-containing aqueous base coating (B) on an uncured coating film surface formed by regulating the water content in the coating film to 5-30 wt%, applying a two-pack type clear coating (C) containing a polyisocyanate compound on an uncured double-layered coating film surface formed by adjusting the water content in the double-layered coating film formed of the aqueous primer (A) and the aqueous base coating (B) to 5-30 wt% and then heating to cure the three-layered coating film simultaneously. (e.g tolylene diisocyanate or diphenylmethane diisocyanate), and a phosphoric ester (e.g. monoethyl phosphate) in such a manner that a decorative coating film is formed in a shape of lines, characters, or patterns. Since the resin reacts easily with the isocyanate compd. to crosslink at a room temp., they are stored separately and mixed just before they are used. The ester is pref. premixed into the ester and/or the isocyanate compd. The addition of the ester improves the adhesion between the topcoating film and the decorative coating film.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make a subsequent polishing process simple by a method in which in advance of the application of a repairing paint, the surface of a repair part is wetted with one or more kinds of organic solvents selected from specified ester-type and ether-type organic solvents. CONSTITUTION: In a repairing method in which the repair part of a crosslinked clear paint film is sanded and coated with a repairing paint, in advance of the application of the repairing paint, the surface of the repair part is wetted with one or more kinds of organic solvents selected from ester type organic solvents with a boiling point of 200-250 deg.C and ether type organic solvents with a boiling point of 200 250 deg.C. In this way, the wettability of the repairing paint improves so that the applied paint can spread thinly. After the application, the paint film is crosslinked in conditions according to the composition of the paint. After curing, the difference in the evenness from an unrepaired part is eliminated as necessity requires, or the repaired part is polished for glossing.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce the total thickness of a film and to form a double layered paint film with good gloss feeling by specifying the average particle size of the pigment and the weight percentage of each component of each paint when a thermosetting colored paint containing aluminum fine powder and a titanium pigment and a thermosetting metallic paint containing a metallic pigment are used. CONSTITUTION: In a 4-coat 2-bake system paint film forming method, an article is coated with a colored paint A, a metallic paint B, and a clear paint C in sequence by a wet method, and the paint film is heated to be cured. The product is coated with a clear paint, and the paint film is cured. In this paint film forming method, the colored paint A is a thermosetting colored dye which contains a base substance resin, a crosslinking agent, aluminum fine powders of at most 10μm longitudinal average particle size, and a titanium pigment and has the covering power of the cured paint film of 25μm or less. The metallic paint B is a thermosetting metallic paint which contains a base resin, a crosslinking agent, and a metallic pigment of 20-50μm longitudinal average particle size and has 5-15 pts.wt. pigment content per 100 pts.wt of the total amount of the base resin and the crosslinking agent.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve adhesiveness between both clear coats by using respectively a specific resin thermosetting coating material as a 1st clear coat and a specific silicon compound expressed by a general formula or the like as a 2nd clear coat in three coat two bake coating method. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd thermosetting clear coats are applied, baked and hardened successively after a thermosetting colored base coat is applied on a base stock and dried. In this case, as the 1st clear coat, an acrylic resin/ melamine resin thermosetting coating material is used. On the other hand, as the 2nd clear coat, (1) a resin having silanol group, at least one kind of group selected from among hydrolyzing groups directly bonded with silicon atom, hydroxyl group and epoxy group in the same molecule, and (2) a silicon compound (2) expressed by a formula I and/or II, a hardening catalyst and an organic solvent are incorporated. A mixing ratio of (1) and (2) based on the total quantity of these are set to 80-95wt.% and 5-20wt.%, respectively.
