    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely controllably increase or decrease a wheel cylinder pressure during the initial depressing of anti-skid control irrespective of the deviation of the characteristics of a linear valve.
      SOLUTION: The target wheel cylinder pressure Pti of each wheel is calculated according to the brake operation amount of a driver (S20). When the anti-skid control is required, the target wheel cylinder pressure Pti for reducing slip is calculated (S30 to S80). Based on the deviation between the target wheel cylinder pressure Pti and an actual wheel cylinder pressure Pi, a target drive current It for the linear valve is calculated (S100). The target drive current It is changed to a value determined according to the braking conditions of a wheel during the initial depressing of the anti-skid control (S170). Based on a target drive current Ita after the change, the linear valve is controlled (S180).
