    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent twisitng torque when a gear shifting is actuated to a P range from being accumulated, and delayed in response by controlling the releasing speed of a friction engaging device followed by gear shifting from a running range to a parking range P when engine revolutions are greater than a specified value in such a way as to be faster than that for engine revolutions less than the specified value. SOLUTION: In the electronic control device for an automatic transmission 10 to which the various kinds of data for control is inputted, it is judged whether or not a R range has been set, if it is found to have been set, subsequently, it is also judged whether or not engine revolutions are over a reference engine revolution, for example, 700rpm. And when it is found that engine revolutions are over 700rpm, and input torque is great, the back pressure of an accumulator for a second clutch is controlled so as to be low. This constitution thereby allows the torque capacity of the input clutch in the R range to be lowered, allows a torque transmitting route in the automatic transmission 1 to be temporarily in a neutral condition while a range is being changed from the R range to a parking P range, and thereby prevents twisting torque from remaining (being accumulated), and being delayed in response to the P range.

    • PURPOSE:To sharply reduce sliding resistance by forming many protruded stripes with an R-shaped cross section in the axial direction on the inner periphery of a movable sheave boss section and the outer periphery of a fixed sheave boss section or a shaft and slidably supporting them via many balls. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a primary pulley 5 via transmitted to a shaft 3 via a belt 7 and a secondary pulley 6. Torque is transmitted to a movable sheave 5b from a fixed sheave boss section 5a1, on the primary side, for example, (likewise on the secondary side) via R-shaped side faces 13a of many protruded stripes 13 formed in the axial direction on the outer periphery, balls 15, and R-shaped side faces 12a of protruded stripes 12 of a movable sheave boss section 5b1. The effective diameter of both pulleys 5 and 6 are changed by the operation of mechanical actuators 10 and 11 via the rolling of the balls 15 for a speed change. The durability of a belt type continuously variable transmission can be improved with almost no sliding resistance at the time of movement in the axial direction.
