    • PURPOSE: To provide a resin core with which casting with higher accuracy is possible without the possibility of erosion and deformation of the resin core in spite of contact with molten metal of a high temp. and high pressure and which is easily separable from castings. CONSTITUTION: The resin core 2 is arranged in a cavity and the molten metal is poured into this cavity. The molten metal poured into the cavity comes into contact with stainless steel foil 6 clad on the surface of the resin core 2 and does not come into contact with a resin core body 4 and, therefore, the erosion and deformation of the resin core body 4 are surely prevented and the resin core 2 keeps surely maintaining the prescribed shape before the molten metal solidifies. The temp. of the resin core body 4 is elevated by heat even after solidification of the molten metal and the temp. at which the resin core is plasticized is attained at some point of time. The left end of the supporting part 2A of the resin core 2 is clamped by a drawing means at the point of this time and is drawn leftward. Branch parts 2B, 2C are thereby plastically deformed and the resin core is drawn from the left end of a product W and is thus separated from the product W.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a special process in a casting method by executing the pulling-out of a core in a trimming process, at the time of casting a product by press-charging molten metal into a cavity inserted with the core at high pressure. CONSTITUTION:The core (n) maintains a prescribed strength during a time since the molten metal is press-charged into the cavity until the part of the molten metal in contact with the core is solidified (characteristic of the molten metal A), i.e., during a time of T1, and even if the high pressure of the molten metal is applied to the core (n), the core is not deformed to such an extent that shape precision becomes lower than that required for the product X (characteristic of the core G1). Further, the average strength of the core (n) is lowered by the heat of the molten metal during the lapse of a time of T2 after the molten metal is solidified at the part in contact with the core (n) (after the lapse of a time of T1), the plastic deformation of the core is generated to such an extent that the core (n) can pass through an under-cut part of the product X and yet the mutual coupling force, by which one end can be pulled out by pulling out the other end, is imparted. Therefore, the core can satisfactorily be pulled out of the product by giving the pulling force to the core at the suitable timing during th lapse of a time of T2 after the lapse of a time of T1.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately measure gas pressure in a cavity at the time of actual casting by fitting a sensor measuring the gas pressure near a chill bent insert die or a valve in a gas exhaust passage connecting with the cavity in a die for die casting. CONSTITUTION:The cavity 3 is shaped by joining the dies 1, 2 fixed to die fitting parts 4, 5 in the die casting machine. On the other hand, molten metal is supplied from a molten supplying hole 7 in a sleeve 6 fitted to the fitting part 5 and pressed in the cavity 3 by a piston and plunger 11, to execute casting. In the above die casting, the chill bent insert dies 15, 16 having corrugating plate-shape part 15a, 16a, fitted to the dies 1, 2 are connected with the cavity 3 and the sensor 13 detecting the gas pressure is fitted. The molten metal, which is cast from the chill bent insert dies 15, 16, is solidified and cut off to fill up in the cavity 3. In this way, only gas is pushed out and the pressure is measured by the sensor 13 and outputted to an output meter 14 and if necessary, the buzzer 17 is worked.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a method for repairing a resin core which is reusable by resetting the core to a prescribed shape without requiring a stage of melting injection molding for the plastically deformed resin core. CONSTITUTION: The resin core 30 plastically deformed by drawing is inserted into through-holes 6A, 6B of repair molds 4A, 4B in such a manner that its deformed part 34 corresponds to hole parts 8A, 8B and is heated near the hole parts 8A, 8B by heaters 10 to 10, by which the deformed part 34 is heated and softened. Both ends 30A, 30B of the resin core 30 are simultaneously pressurized inward by pressurizing means on both sides of the repair molds 4A, 4B and the part 34 softened by heating is made into projecting parts 36A, 36B. These parts are packed into the hole parts 8A, 8B and are reset to the resin core of the prescribed shape. Cooling water is thereafter passed into cooling water pipings 12 to 12, by which the projecting parts 36A, 36B are cooled to solidify. The resin core repaired in such a manner is taken out by dividing the repair molds 4A, 4B and is used for next casting.
