The mandrel 20 has a separate body from the upper die 12.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple spinning device, which applies a tension to a workpiece for spinning the workpiece to the direction identical to the travelling direction of a rotating roller and controls the generation of asperities.
      SOLUTION: The spinning device includes: a rotating roller 2 which is rotatably attached and thins the periphery of the workpiece W by relatively moving to the axial direction with the roller pressed to the periphery; a mandrel 3 which is inserted from one end of the workpiece W, supports the workpiece W with itself closely attached to the inner surface of the workpiece W, and is driven rotatably around the center axis of the workpiece W; a holding member 4 which holds the other end of the workpiece W between the mandrel 3 and itself and is driven rotatably around the center axis of the workpiece W; and a screw thread 10 which is provided at the periphery of the mandrel 3 at one end of the workpiece W. The mandrel 3 and the holding member 4 are rotatably and respectively driven to have the rotary speed differential between the mandrel 3 and the workpiece W, resulting successfully in applying a tension generated by the a screw thread 10 of the mandrel 3 to the workpiece W to the direction identical to the travelling direction of the rotating roller 2 and controlling the generation of asperities.
