摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose dirt or the like by oxidation-reduction reaction of photocatalyst particle by forming a surface layer comprising photocatalyst particle, or a surface layer containing photocatalyst on a glaze layer, and holding this surface layer to be partly inserted to the glaze layer. SOLUTION: On a glaze layer formed on a surface of a piece of tableware of ceramic, amorphous photocatalyst particle is baked at temperature of 900-1,000 deg.C to be changed into crystalline photocatalyst particle for forming a surface layer comprising photocatalyst particle or a surface layer containing photocatalyst particle. In this surface layer, part of the photocatalyst particle is held to be embedded in the glaze layer, and by radiating a UV-ray or the like from a light source to the surface layer, the surface layer is provided with hydrophilic property to form a thin water film. By oxidation-reduction reaction of the photocatalyst particle, therefore, dirt, or the like can be decomposed, thereby tableware which can be extremely easily cleaned, which provides no sense of incongruity, and of which surface layer is hard to be peeled can be realized.

This enables the checking of the progress of the excretory act itself. Thus, since the care-giver such as the nurse can take action by estimating the state of the excretory act of the person, who requires the nursing care, in the toilet, he/she can prevent the occurrence of the falling accident in the toilet.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a thin and uniform water film even with a small quantity of water by forming a uniform water film on the surface of a design material coated with a layer containing a photo-contacting type semiconductor material while developing the hydrophilicity by photo-excitation. SOLUTION: In the case that, a water film formation is to be carried out with a design material in a bond 2 formed in, for example, a relaxation space of a municipal hole: the bottom face of the bond 2 is composed of tiles 3 having ultra-high hydrophilicity and the side faces of the bond 2 are composed of common tiles 4. Square and enameled tiles are used for the tiles 3 and tetraethoxysilane is applied to the surfaces of the tiles and hydrolysis and dehydration condensation polymerization are carried out for the tetraethoxysilane to form amorphous silica layers on the surfaces. Then, anatase type titania sol is applied to the surfaces and burned. After that, the tiles 3 are irradiated with ultraviolet rays at 0.3mW/cm ultraviolet luminous intensity for one day to develop the hydrophilicity by photo-excitation and make the contact angle to water be less than 3 degrees. Consequently, water is spread quickly on the whole surface and a thin and uniform water film can be formed on the surfaces of the tiles.
